I miss when Blizzard cared about this game. The effort they were pouring into this game over the first two years was incredible. Genuinely hurts me to watch this video and then look at what OW has become. Now with all of the Blizzard stuff going on, Jeff leaving, and the player base dwindling, who knows what will happen with OW2. EDIT: I am addicted to OW2.

these cinematics are absolutely breathtaking. regardless of where the game is at now and how there has been little to no progress on the transition to OW 2, the amount of heart and soul poured into this game is something to be appreciated. as someone who has been playing this game for 4+ years, i really do hope they figure it out and deliver a great product to the community.

Back when youtubers like Stylosa would go patch note by patch note after every update and strat/hero guides from channels like Your Overwatch and Overwatch Central were released on a weekly basis. Back when Jeff was still giving his dev updates and Yule logs. Sad Pepehands.

They're still all so good. I kinda wish they'd have made them all into a proper movie with a plot with the existing cinematics featuring as character introductions/narrative progression. It would probably need to be pretty long or two parts though given how many characters and cinematics there are if it was going to be a cohesive plot.
Dragons gives me chills every time. It’s so good. Easily the best one. Something about the music accompanying the two brothers using the dragons to fight each other is insane.

Acti-Blizz is a horrible company. The OW team is incredible tho. I really wish the game didn’t go in the direction that it did. These cinematics will never NOT give me chills and remind me of what this could’ve been if it all didn’t get fumbled so hard. I’m still holding onto hope that, once OW2 releases, the community will get a bit of a boost and we’ll go back to getting the occasional update and cinematic.

Never played overwatch in my life, don't think i ever watched any of the games and stuff, but that trailer with Rhinehart (glory i think it is) has stayed with me many years after watching it, specifically the part where his eyes go out on the throne, that was just an insane visual and hits hard. as does the little interaction between that bird and the robot from the other trailer when humanity is gone, that was wholesome and sweet
You should keep it that way, overwatch is dying pretty fast and it wouldn’t be worth getting into it, especially if you’re new, considering how complicated it is for new players

They could’ve have so many more characters if they focused less on making skins. They also could’ve avoided losing a whole bunch of players if they didn’t nerf loot boxes.
The bulk of skin work has always been out-sourced, the only Blizzard resources they take is from the concept artists. If anything, more skins = more easy funds and therefore more resources to be put else where.
