So smooth and controlled and makes it look effortless, got the same surprise from this as I did first time I saw shinji saito performing 1A, something special about the years of experience across multiple styles that just rounds and hones the skill
I’ve probably watched this a dozen times already and it’s just mesmerizing. I really love the performances of Mir and Miri at this competition but this is the performance I liked most of all. Hajime has a new fan.
dude I just found out about the whole yoyo community and this is so fucking good, just hajime doing the best tricks ever with some breakcore banger on the back is actual blissfulness
not only has he came back with a banging performance with superior yoyo control, he also used a meme music for the competition :)) the legend has arise once again🎉🎉🎉
No wonder why this video is the most viewed out of the whole series. His tricks are so original. A new side of Hajime we never known about or have seen before.
Doing the moves to one of the most iconic IDM songs known to man (Flim by Aphex Twin) deserves high praise in and of itself. NO easy task. Such a great song for a 1A performance.
Most of the freestyles are all about going as fast as possible but this was all about form and I feel like the slower momentum made it easier to see the depth of the tricks. I’m very impressed and saw a bunch of tricks that seem unique to me. A few things I’m going to try just because they looked so nice like the trick with his arm through the loop. I’ve seen similar tricks but haven’t seen it done just like that. Honestly surprised he only got 5th for this one. I think it was better than some of the other performances that ranked higher.
just the the 3rd video i've seen of this guy.. he's not only a god at what he does he also has great music taste (assuming contestants choose their own songs)
Always wondered if 1A seems easy for him versus tossing around two yo-yos not attached to the string in 4A. Although I suppose he scales up the difficulty for himself. Seems like it’d be so much less to focus on and go wrong with 1A.
These freestyles are seldom improvised. But if you watch a particular yoyoer over a long period of time you can definitely see pieces of their routines and start recognizing those pieces. Every year they improve on some tricks, make some changes, repeat the big popular ones. There's almost 10 years worth of Hajime on 3A, so you can see the evolution of his routines from 2014.
finally get to watch the 2nd combo without lag (i watched this like 10 times on the stream because it just blew my mind 🤯) btw does this freestyle remind anyone else of keiran it did for me and idk why
His tricks are so pure.
Agreed🔥
since last year's world comp, his tricks seem so much more fluid and graceful, and his control is spectacular
So are yours bro... so are yours. 😊
And so smooth
unlike yours.
The most graceful and controlled yoyoing I’ve ever seen
So smooth and controlled and makes it look effortless, got the same surprise from this as I did first time I saw shinji saito performing 1A, something special about the years of experience across multiple styles that just rounds and hones the skill
And this freestyle is 10 years after Shinji’s EJ 2013!
He has grown up so fast it felt like yesterday when I saw him on 2017 Asian yoyo competition
I'm with you man. Time flies.
It looked so beautiful and along with the music, it was almost an emotional experience.
you know when you're looking at a legend

So after nailing 3a and 4a, Hajime is going for 1a. Best of luck to others.
I need to learn that repeater at 3:25 - 3:33 right now. brb
What a legend
11/10 presentation
3:27 is Takeshi levels of "woah!"

Smooth like butter

What a trick nice game Hajime 😮❤❤
Does he actually memorize the choreography or is it all improvised?

I'm just curious. Does anyone know how many hours a day he practices?
40 hours a day
@@windrunner120 Man I just don't have that level of commitment to learn the violin or yoyo.

Yeah it seems Hajime’s style is heavily inspired by Keiran. I do know Keiran is one of Hajime’s favorite players
@@ConnorSeals so cool to see people getting inspired by each other (i think zach and arata were similar ?)
oops i misread i thought you said hajime was one of keirans favourite players lol
For some reason it reminds me of Keiran and a bit of Tony Sec
Why he did not compete in 3a and 4a?
too based (either he does not want to compete in it or he is saving it for some other competition!)
This is the first time he has competed at a sub-world competition in years. He's been competing in 3a and 4a at worlds exclusively since 2018.
稱霸3a 4a之後,接下來是1a嗎??? so flowlessssssssssss!!!!
flowless的意思就是没flow,flawless 是没瑕疵😅
他怎么什么都会!
