Back again with another new track for Formula 1! I recently found an awesome Honda engine sound mod for Assetto Corsa so I decided to hop onboard with Max Verstappen once again for a lap at the Losail Circuit in Qatar! I must say, this is probably one of the most difficult tracks I've had to learn in a while! The circuit does have a nice fast, flowing nature but I always find myself going too fast in some places! I think after a few more days practice in the sim I'd probably be able to push out some decent lap times but for now, this is the cleanest lap I've gotten so far! 😂 The race here I think is going to be a bit of a tough one! There isn;'t really anywhere easy to overtake in the current generation of F1 cars as most of the track is high or medium speed, but we'll see what the driver's are able to do this Sunday! Hey great vid. How did you make the sound file work with the mod? I'm struggling with it!
The sound mod is set up for the RSS mods, but can be used on other cars too!
Just extract the ".bank" & "GUIDs.txt" from the sound mod into the "sfx" folder of the SimDream car and replace all files when file explorer prompts you to.
Then rename the file "rss_formula_hybrid_2020.bank" to (for example with the Red Bull) "gp_2021_rb16b.bank" (you'll need to delete the old .bank file from the folder before renaming this one!)
Then open the "GUIDs.txt" in a text editor and replace all the instances of "rss_formula_hybrid_2020" with "gp_2021_rb16b".
Finally, make sure you save the "GUIDs.txt" and then the sound should work in game! :) Hope this helps! :)
