  • Old cities of Karnataka (Bijapur & Bellary): In the Mid 19th Century
    In this video, we will look into the photographic collection of Karnataka which includes cities of Beejapoor (Bijapur) and Bellary by DeGolyer Library, Southern Methodist University : Photographs of Western India belonged by Sir Henry Bartle Edward Frere circa 1855-1862 & Victoria and Albert Museum Collections by 19th Century Photographer Francis Frith.
    The photographs explores Architecture and Landscape of the 19th Century. One can identify city of Beejapoor (Bijapur)
    Gol Gumbaz, Mausoleum of #MohammedAdilShah, Jumma Masjid (Great Mosque), Asar Mahal, Ibrahim Roza (Tomb of King Ibrahim), Ruins of Bijapur Palace, Bijapur Citadel, The Sath Mahal (7 stories), Seven storied palace, Beejapoor (Bijapur Fort) Fort, The ''Malike Maidan'' (Lord of the Plain). The Beejapoor (Bijapur) great gun, 11 Tons of Weight Bronze, Taj Bawadi (The Great Tank), Badi Kaman, Tombs of Negro Nobles (The Jod Gumbaz), Mehtar Mahal,
    Bellary fort, Bellary

    I have a question only Muslim heritage is shown wat about other historical Hindu monuments ..

      This may be true because the photographs which are there in this video is from the photographic collection of Victoria and Albert Museum by photographer Francis Frith and DeGolyer Library, Southern Methodist University Collections by Sir Henry Bartle Edward Frere. Hence we have included those photos which are there in the record. If you can suggest name of the other monuments, we would try to include in another video.

    Please don't mention ballari in this video, because nothing is shown about the history or historical monuments of ballari, only one picture of ballari fort and that too improper, ballari fort is good, not as shown in this video, please change the title and limit it to only Bijapur, not ballari , video regarding Bijapur is good, but video regarding ballari is worst,,,,,,no proper knowledge about ballari and no proper coverage
