Once you have hit homeless you have burned through so many resources few people even know they have... access to water and refrigeration for example. Or the ability to get mail on a regular basis. A neighbor that can pick you up if you're car breaks down, a visitor if you end up in the hospital. Credit, a consistent work and rental history. Not being haunted that your constantly on the edge and can lose everything.
I think basically nobody wants to be labeled an addict- It's a proud country, why not all join in and work like WORK TOGETHER, not apart. God himself if he is truly planning our future; includes us all being able to not just weather any storm, or watch people weather a storm; just be involved to say something like I have a place you're welcome to stay, because Jesus did say to do things for others; I believe a cup of cold water meant all the help plus the shirt off your back, means your own home- I know people wanting to stay in a place just to be able to sleep, they work, they are true to being just as the next person.
I am currently living in a car with my Mother. I am working to get us out. Thank you for this Ted Talk.
