Beautiful army! One of the best introduction, showcasing each unit's awesome paint work!
You might be late to the party but what you brought is very good quality.
Fresh and interesting fisheye presentation of battlefield and players.
Closeups of well painted models in battle is nice.
Great dice promotion with the dice camera showcasing the awesome themed dice(will be getting them).
Great balance and spread in the army list selections, really helped to showcase variety of units in both army and their playability in an actual game.
Not a must but will be great if there is an overhead camera to show the overall battlefield.
Between your video format and Season of War speed up battle with detailed commentary, and because I am painting my minis while watching, I like yours better because of the genuine tabletop interaction.
However, you can learn from them to include some text overlay to explain abilities as it happens to make it even clearer for the viewer.
But that will require you guys to be super good with the rules and not get anything wrong with the use of those abilities during the battle, which I think you did well enough.
Spotted a couple of mistakes in your battle.
Bad Moon Loonshrine ability is only at the end of Gloomspite Gitz turn, but the Spider Riders were returned in Stormcast end of turn.
Hand of Gork cannot affect a unit that's within 3" of the enemy.
Rockgut Troggoths has one shooting attacks each model. I am guessing you were confused with the the old rules and only rolled one dice.
If you guys were to do another video on the Gloomspite, hope to see some Squig Herd, Squig Hoppers, Squigboss and Gobbapalooza.
So far no one is showing the double Squigboss and Squig Herd Alpha-Strike list. They are the best with MSU Squig Herd units.
Or the risky Hand of Gork on 60 Shootas with rend -1 and 10 Loomsmasha Fanatics Alpha-Strike tactics.
Would make an awesome show to display interesting ways to play the new Gloomspite.

we appreciate your rule clarifications, unfortunately you might see some of these same mistakes in the next Gitz video since they were filmed back to back. But Michael wont be making those mistakes again after that.
We plan on upgrading cameras and overlays in the near future but for now we are focused on getting all of the armies in the game purchased and painted so that we can keep bringing you guys content. We just had a big shipment of Gitz arrive so we should be able to make pretty much any list imaginable. But its going to take michael some time to get it assembled and painted.

36/37 mins in when you rolled for the Spiders to return, you did it at the wrong time. They come back at the end of YOUR turn, not any turn.

Yeah, I expected my champions of Sigmar to lose. They seem to struggle a lot against... well, everyone. They all feel too expensive points-wise for what individual models do. :( But GOD, they look so cool!
There is pretty much one ore two lists that do well with SCE. It's either heavy dragons with a pilot who uses them exceptionally well. Or a bunch of shooting, with some screens and heavy hitters. Like your usualy longstrikes and/or Xbow judis + Fulminators and some screens. With a Relictor to get around and usually Gardus in Hallowed Knights for more effective wounds.
Everything else doesn't hold a candle to the really good armies out there.
And Gitz are stupid strong currently. Most of it is rooted in their cheap points across the army coupled with a bunch of wounds and really good synergy. Even the good synergy heroes are undercosted, not just the already good warscrolls like bounderz.
I think someone pulled stats from after their book release and they are close to 70% W/L currently. (more data than GWs metawatch article, where they are also very good but not that OP).
Stormcast always win.... however many times they are slain, they will be reforged and smash down to the mortal realms to fight their never ending war. ONLY THE FAITHFUL!!!
@@Lodorn Thanks for the information. I didn't realize Gitz were so strong. My faction is KO with SCE in a close running for my second army collection, so clearly I'm not playing for a hardcore meta. :P
Tuesday! Excited to see the new gobbos on the table today and thank you both for always striving to give new and continual content, it means a lot and is super fun to experience.
I've seen the new gloomspite in a few batreps and seen results from tournaments around the USA and I think even tho it's a hodge podge army, they're INSANELY strong, so sorry David, but I think Michael is gonna take this!

Ya, my pc needs a new cpu cooler, so had to use ye old laptop, and also updated all of the overlays and thumbnail, so took a bit longer. We should be back on track next week, we will.also have a tournament recap in the pipe coming soon ;)
Cool to see the Trogs shine! Da Gitz seem to be pretty effective now, which is a breath of fresh air, for sure.
I think the only minor distinction I noticed was that Michael said the Trogs were on a 2+ Save because of the Bad Moon and All-Out Defense or something like that. But the moon gives a +1 to Save rolls, it doesn't change the Characteristic from 4+ to 3+. So they wouldn't stack like that with the rules on caps to bonuses. It didn't matter anyway, since Stormcast had -1 rend, but it would just be a minor distinction against something without rend. 😊

You are absolutely right that the moon gives a +1 to save and doesn't change the characteristic. I think michael was to say that they were +2 to their save rolls not that they had a +2 save.

That was a good game, always fun to see Stormcast eating the ground :p.
The mecanics of Gloomspites are just perfect now good damages, good tanking and regen.
But you did 3 mistakes (not someting major) buit
1- sneaky snufflers does ward ability on move phase and not on hero phase
2- the moon orbit roll is roll at the start of your hero phase and not at the start of the turn
3-you can return a slain unit at the end of your turn not each turn
And as a Gloomspite player i play Emerald lifeswarm just to make sure your Throggoths return to live easily plus regen = unkillable on unit of 6
But as I said Great game guys ! Can't wait to see other Gloomspite games!
I see the shufflers ability is actually start of movement. I mis read that. I do eventually figure out the rule mistake on returning slain units but unfortunately its at the end of our next battle report. For the moon orbit roll i do believe its before the priority roll
"At the start of the second and each subsequent battle round, before the priority roll, the player commanding the Gloomspite Gitz army rolls a dice"
Thank you for the comments and the support. There will be many more gitz games we just had a huge box of gitz bounce their way into the studio. Its going to take michael some time to build and paint them all but they are coming.
For the loonshrine bringing stuff back its end of YOUR turn not every turn
Troggboss' squiggly beast followers is start of combat phase, not start of activation.
And rockguts get to throw 1 rock per troll, not for the whole unit.

Small clarification for 30:54 - Throgboss does not eat his relic. He has a small pet as his relic, and the roll is to check if it dies. If it does, the troll gets angry and gets +1 to hit 🙂

Nice battle report but a few little errors creeping in like bringing the spiders back in the opponents turn and hand of gorking stabbas out of combat when the spell says the unit picked have to be outside of 3".

Raptors would have been helpful. This was our very first report with the Gitz and we were still used to them being underwhelming, we were not fully prepared for the power of the new battletome.

But they are the good guys! I certainly remember the days of the op dragons burning the country side. People were not enjoying playing stormcast then.

Both of these armies look fun and it is nice seeing some units we wouldn't normally see in an optimized list. It's fun sometimes to run these kind of lists just to experience something different. I'm leaning towards the Gitz winning this battle, but we shall see! The trogs are nasty and huge masses of the Gitz can be such a chore to chew through.
For a hodgepodge of units, the gitz are still quite strong. I bet they just dominate the second half of the season

Can't use Hand of Gork on a unit that's within 3" of the enemy. You also roll for EACH Troll to chuck a rock. So 4 dice, not one.

As a reminder if it hasn't already been pointed out, each of the Dragon Rider models counts as a separate monster for monstrous rampages. So you could roar with one and stomp with the other (FAQ Core rules, page 7, section 21.0 "Monsters")
I love comments that cite their sources! I am not sure if david was aware of this FAQ, but i certainly was not aware of this rule. I am really glad you brought this to our attention!
@@BattleshockWargaming I wasn't either until I randomly read the FAQ and did a double take. It's helped a good bit in the games I've done it. Gotta get every little point of utility out of those Dragons ever since the points went up XD
Additionally, I am mistaken as to this applying to the dragon riders. While it is true that each monster model in a unit can perform a separate monstrous rampage, the dragon riders have the rule "Monstrous Regiment" which limits them to one model in the unit performing a monstrous rampage.

was just watching this again and noticed you rolled only 9 dice when the dragon exploded. They are thunderstrike so you should have added an extra dice for 10 in total.
I was probably just shocked that some little bounders lifted them so easily haha

I have watched a few bat rep from you guys, and found that Stormcast is always on the weak side, especially looking at how often David have terrible dice roll......I don't see any point at how Stormcast are listed as a strong army with ~50% win rate at the current meta.....
As a Stormcast player, I am really losing hope of this army and may consider to switch to other faction, what are your idea and suggestion please?
Stormcast are in a tough place currently, but have so many different options. Lists that incorporate shooting, melee and teleportation usually do best. There are 3 lists that do well currently, rain of stars, dragon spam, and classic judicator, fulminator, relictor and battle mage combo.
Also, I think each Troggoth can chuck a rock, not just one

Its one dice for each model, it is considered a shooting attack. Can not run and shoot anymore
We realized after the report that the troggs all throw rocks now. and the Dice can be found on barron of dice's webstore
Not a fan of the big blue objective markers. It takes away from the immersion of the rest of the cool stuff on the table.
We have some custom markers on the way made from neoprene:) They are about 8 weeks out

Games Workshop was desperately trying to implement Space Marines into their fantasy setting.
Stormcast eternals are basically Fantasy Space Marines and Sigmar himself is basically the God Emperor.
