    @26:30 that the binoculars cannot see brighter than the eye. If you take a 80mm aperture bino and effectively compress. The photons into a smaller area which enters a human pupil then surely that is brighter than same uncompressed photons ( less photons per area) entering the naked eye ? Brightness is photons per unit area ?

      No. Have you searched the literature? Start with: www.cloudynights.com/topic/163371-brightest-images/

    Hello ! query ... do you have any idea what paint or material is used to repair the chipped paint of the carl zeiss of the 20s, 40s ... it is like a hard textured paint. thank you very much?

      Sorry, I don't have that information. The company is still in existence. Why don't you write to the? Is there a museum concentrating on their optics with a curator/archivist.... that might provide information. If it's a part of your binocular, perhaps one day you might find an "as is" binocular with the part without the problem you can purchase and swap out the part.

    How do we remove the hinge of a Celestron upclose g2 binocular? I'm turning the focus screw but the eye pieces won't move. Looks like some parts got loose and fell inside the focus screw rubber cover itself.

      Is it still under warranty? Are there any RUclipss on this model? Have you done a search on the model for a schematic? Is there a facebook page on celestron binoculars that you could ask that group?

    • @chanauria
      @chanauria 3 года назад

      @@JDWTalks The Binoculars is not under warranty. No RUclips video covers disassembly of the hinge and focuser for this binoculars. I looked for the schematic but didn't find any. There's a facebook page where I wrote the question but I've not heard back at all from them. You are my last hope!

      @@chanauria Binoculars don't last forever. If you don't want or can't afford to take them into a repair shop, perhaps now is the time to get a new pair.

    ... if what you say about putting a hole in the objective lens cap is true, then a toilet roll support has no field of view. Rather the question becomes ‘how does a toilet roll limit FOV?’.

    • @JDWTalks
      @JDWTalks  Год назад

      You can test the statement that it isn't the size of the objective lens that determines the field of view of a binocular but rather the optics. You can have two 7X35 binoculars with different field of view although the objective lens is the same size. Toilet rolls aren't optical devices, last I looked.

    • @francisfrancis4219
      @francisfrancis4219 Год назад

      A toilet roll could be the barrel of a binocular. The problem is, holding wider toilet rolls up to your eyes does increase your field of view.

    • @JDWTalks
      @JDWTalks  Год назад

      reread my response. there are NO lenses on your toilet roll ends, or middle.@@francisfrancis4219

    • @francisfrancis4219
      @francisfrancis4219 Год назад

      ...I have to give you credit as only after seeing your explanation how reducing the objective aperture does not affect FOV, did I finally start to click how binoculars FOV works... The person who asked after the FOV of a toilet roll may have been asking a question about camera lenses, but not one about binoculars. If the Q was in reference to binoculars, it was either a trick Q, or the person might have still been confused themselves.
