Her voice can quickly switch between a soft sounding angelic voice, and a deep aggressive groan type thing... I suck at explaining it, but she's amazing and I'm in love.

She's using head voice for the thinner higher bit in the verses, then in the choruses she's using mixed voice and a load of growl. On the last couple of choruses she's using overdrive (louder, thicker and kind of vocal distortion used a lot in rock) too. :)

I love playing this on my acoustic, great performance. PVRIS are going to do very big things someday. I cannot wait to see them at warped, and hopefully meet them.

this series of videos is what i want to show to people who call her voice bad live. lynn’s been plagued by vocal problems because they’ve been touring so much, and her voice has also been changing a lot these past few years. is she the best live performer i’ve ever heard? no. but she’s damn far from the worst and i just wish the band would take a break so she can go back to sounding absolutely angelic like this. i hate that potential new fans are being turned away because they don’t like her current live voice; please please please, rise records, let. them. rest.
Saw their concert in Amsterdam, one of the best concerts I've been to so far. Their enthusiasm and energy were amazing. Hope they'll come back :)

Actually i was there with 9 others who were lucky enough to be there! We were all sitting on the ground in front and Brian was actually standing more in the back behind us. So at 3:17 she is smiling at Brian 'cause he was pulling faces and shit :P

Does anyone know what kind of guitar that is? It looks like a Taylor 614ce but I've never seen one in dark red like that...
When the camera cuts to the guitar at 0:45 he's playing the wrong chords, lol. The audio is right, but the video isn't. I kept trying to play the song and was confused at that part.
+Mark Jackson Those are the right chords, but he plays in drop C =)
Relative to the tuning, he should be playing an E minor chord. But the camera shows him playing a C major. Trust me, if you tune down a whole step and play a C chord, it won't sound like that, lol. Has to be an E minor.
haha!! yeah right, just tried and it didn't work =) but anyways, there's a version of the tabs of the acoustic version of "my house" on ultimate guitar =)

Sasha B It seems like the chorus is C, then Am, then Em, then D; the tab on ultimate guitar has a really good tab of the verse chords
+CG News and Reviews don't forget to tune down a whole step.. and i think there's a G in the chorus as well, when she says 'my system'.
