      I select the problems from the question papers of various examinations... It is better to use one or more books from the list of the books suggested by your university... After learning from my lectures you will just need new questions which you may also get from the question papers of the past examinations...:)

    Sir, please tell why we are not taking mean value for the corresponding 'y' colum? It is not needed?

    • @PUAARAcademy
      @PUAARAcademy  3 года назад

      Not necessary and personally I advise not to do so... In case of TIME we need to simplify the values from the larger values indicating years and generally we find a chronology and equal difference also. So, while simplifying we also change the origin and make the remaining calculations even more simple...

    Sir is it compulsory to divide by interval or by the half of interval in all problems and if you don't divide by the interval for calculating X then result becomes changed.so is it a problem .Because answer will be the different. So what to do.please reply

    Instead of dividing by 1/2 of interval, u can simply multiply x- origin with 2
    ie. 2(x-origin)

    should I divide or not divide by 0.5 during examination?

  • @anaswahid8520
    @anaswahid8520 5 лет назад

    Sir trend values are coming like
    83
    85.5
    88
    90.5
    93
    95.5
    98
    100.5
    And our b value is 1.25
    On seeing these trend values I found constant rate of increase is 2.5
    And our b=1.25
    I am little bit confused

    sir why did u take 0.5 interval instead of 1?

    • @PUAARAcademy
      @PUAARAcademy  7 лет назад

      In case of 'Even number of periods or years', to determine 'X', we divide (Year - Origin) by 1/2 of the interval' and not only 0.5. You can see that here the interval is of two years. So, 1/2 of interval = 2(1/2) = 1. In this way here we have divided (Year - Origin) by 1. Please note that we need not to divide it by any constant value like 0.5. It\ll be better if you forget 0.5 and try to remember "half of the interval", instead... :)
