If you grew up anywhere near Portland, you would find this extremely funny. But it works for the Pacific Northwest as well. Im sure many of you have been to a bookstore like this, you would get the uber-liberalness. Brilliant!!
I didn't grow up in Portland, but I was a Gender Studies major in college, and this and the first one are fucking everything. My friend and I made our professor show them in class one day.
I would love to go to Portland someday partly inspired by this but also people, or rather artists and musicians, I've met online who are from there. Though the comedy also works well for those little pockets of West Yorkshire such as Hebden Bridge, or in NE London around Hackney borough. I have come across lots of shops with staff like this.
the facial expressions that carrie made at the end when Fred is asking her about the AC were the same faces a classmate of mine would make during class and I couldn't remember her name and then when Fred said "Toni" the last time I realized her name was actually Toni as well
I once made a mix CD for a secrate santa gift I dubbed "Power for your Vagina" It consisted of Celtic Woman singin creepy music and I offered that it'll give her the ability to birth a cement mixer. For some reason she wasn't offended and she listend to it... allot.
2008. Wow. I can't get over the animal art in the beginning and behind Candice during the AC bit. It's now 2018 and the same kind of art is still being created in Portland.
The bookstore is called In Other Words and moved from Hawthorne and is now on Killingsworth near MLK. I find this sketch super funny but think the actual bookstore is more laid back and welcoming then this, but then that doesn't make good comedy. Can't wait for Portlandia!
@sweetbabyjesus, I used to go to a Catholic school, but then my parents beat me at home because it was cheaper, thrashing the wonderful word of the lord into my quivering, ample buttocks. The scars are still there, as is His presence in my bosom. Keep up the good and holy work, brother!

This is actually, genuinely relaxing & amusing to listen to while I work. I could listen to the Women & Women First staff chatter all day.
I feel like that would be very comforting indeed
Oddly so but yeah
2008? You are telling me this could have been introduced to me since 2008 and it was only done so last year? Why?
LOL.
God bless Portlandia and the people who watch it and the people who comment on it on RUclips.

Yep😁
Don't ever fuuUuking tell me what to do

Prolly related to Fred being a one helluva improviser;)
These guys are freakin' hilarious thanks so much for uploading!
I could've watched Candice asking Toni if she felt the AC for like 30 seconds longer. Carrie's blank stare made it work.
You can hear them laugh under their breath 😆😆
