I worked at Wendy's in the late 80's, and I ran grill, and yep that's exactly how we were taught to grill the burgers, and yes I still melt cheese that way to this day way when I'm cooking burgers (if I'm grilling on the right surface, like a pan). When I was 16 I actually sat in the back room at a Wendy's and watched this same video. Back then you could also order a burger rare, medium, well done, that's what the "meat stages" were.

Wendy's has always been my preference since childhood. Get a single or double, with or w/out cheese, and add two or three packets of the chili seasoning OMG IT'S HEAVEN. The chicken nuggets are Mississippi elementary school cafeteria nuggets! 🤤🤤🤤
My only complaint was the French Fry change. Loved the fries til that change so now I just do without them. Loved to dip them in the frosty.
They had a bomb ass salad bar in the 80s too!

One thing that always drove me NUTS was when customers would come in when they’re in a hurry and treat it like you’re at fault. THEY made the decision to come in 20 minutes before work, THEY made the decision to come in on a 15 minute break, THEY made the decision to came in knowing they have 3 kids blaring the car horn from the parking lot. Yet the entire business has to drop everything to make sure they get out in a hurry. The entitlement!
It's disgusting eh? People's sense of self-importance is beyond potent. I think it is dumb when people sleep in or stay up late so they rush to work, forget to eat or have no time, then the rest of the bitter day is everyone else's fault.
Go into the automotive repair industry. People act like rushing to rebuild your shit isn't going to cause issues. Main reason I don't promise times.

Before Louie said it, I was thinking the same thing about the dude clocking in after doing work. You can get into trouble at some places for doing that.
I had a friend who worked in some massive building that was completely unorganized. He worked 2 full days and never met a manager or anything.....so he just started walking in clocking in, then going back and clocking out. He got away with it for months until he forgot to clock out one day because he took some girl out so he was clocked in for a week straight lol. They threatened to have him arrested and sue so his dad had to go clean up the mess.

I was a manager at a friend's barbecue place. It was called "Bar B Q Place". A woman ordered a family pack and asked for hot barbecue sauce. She called back when she got home said we gave her mild. I told her to swing back by and ill get her the one she ordered. I put a lot in a small bag when she came through drive thru. I greeted her with a smile and positive attitude while apologizing. Handed it to her and she tasted it. Started screaming saying it was still wrong. I said no ma'am it says on it hot. We make it homemade. She said we must of changed recipe. I told her no same for 30 years. She literally threw the bag at my face. Luckily i was fast so i caught it and then moved inside closing window cause she spun out leaving and slung rocks at the window

Huh I heard the same thing with the degrading when exposed to air, but that was just a low cost dvd on its own not a player build behind it main problem behind that was the waste that the no longer working dvd would mean and they expected the store to dispose with the dvds.

Toothpaste does actually work for cleaning cd's but only to buff out shallow read side scratches. The tiny particles in the toothpaste when used to buff do the same thing some professional cleaning/scratch removal methods do. You do have to use the right cloth but yeah, the more you know!

I think this extreme ‘the customer is always right’ approach is a very American thing. I have never experienced it at that toxic level anywhere else around the world. I once worked retail in Denmark and if the customers without any obvious reason got just a little disrespectful to any employees they were asked not to come back again.
The complete phrase is actually "the customer is always right in matters of taste." The short version has drastically effected job satisfaction
