Flying up to the Scottish capital on one of BA Cityflyers regional E190's. A very hot day for flying with temperatures peaking around 30 degrees. I thought it'd make a nice change by flying from London City for a change, a unique little airport situated in East London where only certified pilots can land here.
We start by leaving London City in an Easterly direction before turning north and out of the city. Not too much to see on the way up, very hazy due to the hot weather. Not too long after take off the crew started a complimentary service which included free cold or hot drinks and a light snack. Once we reached the Scottish border we began our descent down towards Edinburgh, some lovely views across the city before we turned over the Forth of Firth and headed into the Airport on a westerly approach.
Great flight overall, a nice, short and quick flight and nice to do something different than flying from Luton or Heathrow for a change
