- In this video I will show you over 100 comic books that have value that you want to be looking for while your out hunting for comics at garage sales, flea markets, dollar bins or any other place that sells comic books.
I created this video to help the new collector focus on finding key issues for their collection or to find comics of value that they can trade or sell to get the comics that they want. Its also a great video to give the experienced collector a quick refresher on what to keep your eyes open for.

Believe it or not…I found a Batman Adventures 12 “first harley quinn” in high grade at a garage sale for $0.50…I walked to the car like I had just stolen something. It’s being pressed now and I expect atleast a solid 9.4 from it.
Amazing! That is exactly how much I paid for mine about 10 years ago haha do you look to see if they had other issues? All the Harley Appearances in the series is worth a bit.

Yup they were not hard to get variant or anything they were just the A covers that all Spawn fans would buy to read etc. Its super cool they have value now because they are really cool comics.

Just subbed I love cheap comic spec videos definitely my favorite comic videos, i like to hunt for treasure it's the thrill of finding a diamond in the ruff ,instead of buying treasures for treasure prices💥💥💥💥keep em coming from time to time thanks....
That is exactly how I collect, I rather dig through a dollar bin and find something of value then just go out and buy a graded version for full price. That hunt is much more fun then just owning haha I want to dig the gems out of the hill side and pan for gold in the river, I don't want to go to the jewelry store and max out my credit card. I'm gonna look for this Mystic book, it seems extremely interesting! The fact that you mentioned that it has every magic user from every universe including Harry Potter has me very intruiged!
Yeah its a fun book, I have found it 2-3 times now and I enjoy owning it. It flies under the radar of most sellers so their is a good chance you can find one cheap.

I normally just get books I like but this is cool. Saving up for ASM 129 right now. Punisher is my favorite street level hero.
Grabbing books you like is the best way to dig a $1 bin. But while your having fun doing that, if you can grab a few issues you can throw on ebay that pays for everything you keep then that is even better (Means you can grab way more comics each time too)

Great video! If you haven't already it would be great if you had a word doc file with a list of these and other issues.
I am mostly a visual person myself so seeing the covers is what helps me remember them. Down the road I might make up a list.

I will do more of these eventually. This one did really well and I did a new one weekly for a month but the interest died down so was not worth the amount of time to produce more.

I was doing them weekly for about 5-6 weeks when I put it out so there are more on the channel. The rest of the videos fizzled out though so I had to stop doing them. It takes me 20-30 hours to make one so its hard to sustain making them if they dont get watched.

Haha, its best to just have this a little bit back in your head so when your digging a dollar bin you might recognize a cover and go oh I think that is from this video. If you heavily memorize and go looking for these issues specifically it wont work as well.

I used to buy Marvel age when they came out, this was the only way to keep up with things (no internet then!) I usually wouldn't bag them at all, just pile them up. The only one I kept in solid shape was the She Hulk cover.
Yeah I did the same thing, they were for information which was great more then for collecting so I did not treat them well either.
Coyote 12 is, chronologically in the real world, Todd’s first work. He only did a small part but ended up being hired to redo issue 11 before it went to print. He mentioned it himself during a Comic Tom interview so I always go for issue 12, knowing it’s the real deal!! And so cheap!
I saw that interview, you would think that would make 12 more desirable. Either way I would grab both if I saw them cheap.

Another comic in the Archie family to watch out for is Betty and Me #55.. It doesn't show up as a key but has value. Check the eBay sold comics.

I mean I like Stan Lee, I dont have a negative opinion of him.
Stan Lee did take more credit than he deserved, but he always acknowledged Jack Kirby and the others who helped him make Marvel. Alan Moore is a cantankerous old git.

Man, those Spawn issues! I have 1-100 but stopped there. Should have kept going.
A lot of people stopped near 100 which made the print runs after that much lower.

I do not, I kinda like making videos on comics that you can find if you go out hunting more then comics that are hard to find and cost a lot of money. That being said I definitely want to do more videos highlighting some sweet key issues

that spawn 243 I believe is the lowest print run @ under 12,000 copies. not including the special comic con variants that are 666 copies or lower. If I read correctly

How do you find garage sales and stuff is there a website?
For me I just walk my neighborhood on weekends to find sales. Depending on where you live there is probably a website with local sales such as craigslist.

Never found spawn in the dollar bin, but maybe one day!
The point is to look for all the comics of value its like the birthday paradox. If you are looking for one specific comic the chances of finding it is slim, if you look for all the comics of value the chances of finding something is really high. You dont need to find the spawn comics (I have many times myself) you just need to find something you can sell or trade to get the comics you want.

I would grab any issue you see they all have some value. But if you saw the Rose Besch one you got to grab that.

Here's my thing.... I READ comics... I don't buy them to profit from it.
I have literally hundreds of comics that are highly priced and sought after but I ain't selling them and I don't lock them in a polybag never to see the world again, I'll read em and re read em till the cover falls off.... Then I continue to read them.
I've never purchased a book for profit and the ppl who do are responsible for the industry bombing in the late 90's early 2000's .
If you see a book BUY it coz U wanna read the story inside , NOT because you think it'll be a good way to put lil Janey through college ✌️

I love comics as well, but could not afford nearly as many as I want to own, so it is nice to sometimes pull something out for a dollar sell it for $20 and keep the other 20 comics that I bought because I love the writers, artist, covers and characters. Would be nice to be rich enough to just to buy all the comics I want without worrying about the cost. Awesome luxury you have there, I am a tad jealous.
@@pop-comics lol... That luxury U speak of doesn't exist. I work on a very small budget for comics each week. I've been collecting comics since I was 5 and I'm now 41 , everything I bought at cover value the day of release or for very little spare change at second hand bookshops and yard sales . I've NEVER purchased a book with a high price tag and I budget wisely and choose wisely (no marvel, no DC... they know what they've done......)
2000ad is my jam but it seems to go over the heads over most Americans .

2000Ad is pretty darn cool, great artwork. Personally I don't think its wrong for someone to pull a comic of value out of a dollar bin and then sell it so they can buy more comics from the dollar bin. I personally want way more comics then my meger income could afford on its own so I sell comics I buy so I can afford a lot more for the collection. Nothing wrong with that either :)

You have it backwards, you need to come up with reasons to increase the prices of comics you already have. Comics increase in value by making them popular, none are actually rare.
For me the hunt is 80% of the fun so finding comics of value while hunting is a thrill to me. If I instead put in a ton of effort trying to increase the value of things I have already that sounds like a boring time. I will pass on that. I want to be out there hunting for books.

If you are looking for just that one issue it would be very hard to find in a dollar bin, but if you look for all the comics of value there is a high chance you will find something. Someone out there will find those Spawns on dollar bins, I am sure of it.

Dude your Not finding spawns in the 200s for $5! I call BS
I have found about 50 of them over the years for $1-$3 I recently had a store trade me their entire dollar bin for some funko pops and he had a dozen in there that people had not picked out ruclips.net/video/r4rLhkvlvx0/видео.html Its not something that happens daily, the point is to know what to look for and you will find them. Spawns in the 200s were just bought as normal comics not variants so they are out there.
