Comparing Manjrekar’s batting and commentary to Dravid’s batting and coaching is like comparing a pocket calculator to a supercomputer-one occasionally gets the job done, and the other redefines the entire field.
Such a broad minded player and person; Rahul Dravid has been. Never reacts badly on the field nor does he give any bad comment later. I recollect Alan Donald swearing at Dravid after being hit for a 6 and RD never spoke about it. For him the nation and team comes ahead and this was reflected in his playing days as captain too.
Disagree. I don't think he gets scrutinized the way others do. Here's my criticism of Dravid, hope his fans are ok with people criticising RD: 1. He got into trouble with the ball tampering issue, where he was shining the ball with a lozenge in his mouth. This wasn't scrutinized 1/10th of that Sachin saga - both were about genuine mistakes I think, but I don't think Dravid fans criticise him as much as they do Sachin for this. I am sure most aren't even aware of this episode. 2. He was a slow batsman and put the burden of scoring on others. I don't care for the likeability factor that people have of him as a person - as a batsman he should score runs and not waste balls. I don't buy this theory of an achor being required - others shouldn't have to double their scoring rates due to someone else's slowness. The fact that it became a celebrated style of playing is absolute nonsense. He might have been utility at times, but this is unacceptable to me that it becomes an "approved" style. 3. Dravid's captaincy is corporate management style, and I wouldn't work for a "leader" like him. That declaration with Sachin on 194 is well known - Dravid's explanation for the declaration is unacceptable. Sachin wasn't playing "slow", and someone like Dravid isn't qualified to comment on strike rates! Moreover, he is like this corporate manager like Narayana Murthy who glorifies this fake sincerity where you are a "team player" - absolute BS that tyrants and communists use who have no leadership ability. A team is made of individuals, individual goals make up the team's and not the other way around in non-communist settings, and Dravid himself raises his bat after a 50 or a 100, and Kohli/Rohit are still criticized for not scoring 50s or 100s so that individual milestone is not selfish, contrary to people's lies. See Yuvraj's reply to this - his displeasure was visible about Dravid's actions - if an organisation treats any individual, let alone a high performer like Sachin, in that manner, people will give the middle finger to the leadership. And rightly so, people forget Sachin's 194 at a strike rate beyond Dravid's capabilities, and criticize him for speaking against such a vapid leadership - a style of leadership that asks for 70-hour work week - do it for the team/nation, screw yourself!! My attitude is to flip the bird at fake sincerity/dikhave ka team-player actions like this. 4. His captaincy was a timid one at best, and selfish one at worst. His "process" based approach got us knocked out of the 2007 World Cup, and gave a team where infighting was the norm, especially when Chappell exploited the Ganguly saga. He was questionable/appalling in how he led.

@@ytcmtr4917😂😂😂😂😂 fan of sanjay Manjarekar.......😂😂😂😂 dravid ODI record test record as captain is fabulous....... Except the world cup exit.....check stats 😂😂😂😂😂
Rahul Dravid ODI strike rate is 71 which was similar to many other cricketers of his time and a score of 250 and 270 was comfortable total at the time.Steve Waugh 75, Inzamam 74, Attapattu 67, Kallis 72, Chanderpaul 70 ,Fleming 70 , Ganguly 73,Laxman 71, Kaif 71. Unlike others Dravid was indeed conidered slow batsmen during his career and his strike tells he was par with many others
Average of 30 against Ambrose and Walsh? He only played one series against them where he averaged 72. That was the second highest in the series from both teams and that was in West Indies. He played equally well against other great bowlers. He belongs to an era when our batsman started putting a strong challenge against top bowlers in overseas conditions.
Sanjay you survived so long because of gavaskar, shastri and tendulkar and your pro mumbai group, i cant imagine how you played so long after just that one double century in 1989 against pak
Sanjay - why don't you analyse your career. You were the star in 1989 - 90 in WI - bouncy tracks - 4 man pace attack, Pakistan - the second best bowling attack. What went wrong - Australia, South Africa - bouncy tracks? Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman pulled the carpet from below your feet.
I always hoped SM played as a great #3. He was infinitely frustrating to watch. Looked like had a great technique but didn't use everything he had. Felt like was needlessly slow as hell. Finally that #3 materialized to reality once RD came to the scene. RD was the truest #3 Ind ever had.
Offcourse it doesn't matter what Manjrakarar says😂😂 we really enjoyed the drama when jaddu ❤gave it to him fair and square. Commentry is one thing and insulting a person in the name of it is not fair at all . # Bits and pieces
Unfortunately, Team India had to select this mean minded person in the team and now audience unlucky faith is to listen to him as commentary 🙄🤦. Rahul sir couldn't say it directly but he really felt that when an Elephant is walking on the road it will never care when a dog barks at it, it will give the dog its freedom as that is dogs job😂😂.
Nothing wrong in criticising Rahul Dravid (if GOD can be criticised, mocked and called selfish then Rahul cannot be an exception)…Rahul is a great cricket player (one of my favourites) but he did have a selfish and jealous side as well in his days.

@ Great points, totally agree with you. Yes that declaration of innings when Sachin was on 194 is the most selfish thing I have seen in Cricket history. That too Ganguly hinted him (this was caught on camera) to declare the innings and he agreed, that itself shows his leadership skills. Both Rahul and Sachin had 4 double centuries and Sachin was about to score 5th and that stupid slow strike rate excuse shows what a hypocrite he is, in fact Sachin was playing with 70+ strike rate after crossing 150 in that match and there were still 2 days remaining in that match. Dravid wronged not just Sachin he wronged all of us, coz everything used to literally stop when Sachin used to bat and he took it away from us.
More likely is that ..Dravid might have meant ..you can keep barking ..no one listens to you or takes you seriously...which is what most of the viewers of this video also think
Never trust Mumbai players in cricket especially. Even the commentators from Mumbai. They play only for money, name, fame and for records. That too, they play only under a captain if he is a Mumbaikar, including Sachin. Mumbai commentators Gavaskar, Manjrekar, Ravi Shastri, Harsha Bhogle always criticize North & South Indian cricketers and praise Mumbai players only.
He is a commentator and cricket expert .His work is to criticise when players do not perform. So does harsha and other commentators like Simon Doull, Jeoffery Boycott . Simon Doull even said that current Indian players are not good players of spin they are just as good as other foreign players. Virat Rohit are not up to the level of Dravid and Sachin. Earlier player used to understand that they are doing their job so they use to make cordial relations with commentators. Saurabh Ganguly despite being a friend criticised Dravid after cwc lost . Players were and are going to be criticised and applauded for their performance. Dravid Ganguly Sachin VVS all have gr8 relationship with Harsha , Manjhrekar, Shastri despite being criticised by them in their time.
@@prp3778 dude i have seen all commentators..but Sanjay is the worst despite india winning the test against australia he downplayed despite many indian players playing well he downplays them, he has the diarohhea of negative thoughts
@patilnaveenkumarreddy4059 He always favours Mumbai players for sure. I am not denying that but this is not particularly about him . Today's generation of players can't take criticism at all like Kohli. He was taunting Harsha bhogle in an interview in IPL i guess . Today's generation players can't digest the fact that they will be criticised when they will not perform. A great player like Dravid was criticised after wtc lost and was egregiously criticised by his good friend and once a teammate Saurabh Ganguly. Ganguly even said that your team is not playing like champions they are showing mediocrity and even said that your coaching is not as great as the player you were. Dravid didn't threw tantrums neither he hold any grudges. Even the legend Gavaskar was mocked by Indian fans when he criticised Kohli. What today's cricketer wants is to crave positive things out of a defeat . That will not going to happen . If you play well you will be appreciated and if you will underplay then get ready to take bullets. Kohli Sharma and team India performance in odi and test since 3 months is not up to mark. They are getting thrashed by local spinners in their home ground. What will they expect. I think India's good time had gone the moment Dravid left .
@@prp3778oh boy did you say EXPERT, this idiot Sanjay Manjerekar didnt even know that the guy he is calling "bits and pieces player" is world's one of the best all rounder and perhaps all time great fielder along with Rhodes. But yeah he is an expert😂😂😂😂
The question is can a commentator be a critique??... commentators dont write blog posts and columns and defend why they say what they say. So they are just comments and opinions...
Who r you criticize first seyour track record how many test pkAted sucesfull you were nowhere comes Rahul ganguli even Virat gavaskar got right he is proven player
You were a flop player in your playing days. Why you didn't you apply your so called expert advice to improve your own game to prolong your career. You have no qualification to advise great players like Kohli who has achieved thousands times than what you have achieved.
He averaged 37 and 33 in tests and ODIs respectively plus he averaged 55 with 10000 runs in first class. I know he is the son of Vijay Manjrekar and also tagged as next Sunil Gavaskar, but did not succeed that much. I don't call him a flop cricketer though!
U can't label a player "flop" if he/she represents india even once. Sanjay manjrekar played many matches for India. You can perhaps say he didn't reach the heights he was expected to reach
Sanjay manjrekar was probably a much better batsman than a lot of indian batters from last 10 years or so. He was touted as a heir descendent of sunil gavaskar and was pretty good during 1989-1991. But failures in australia tour and rise of Sachin by that time not just took the limelight from him but also he was never the Sanjay manjrekar of 1989-1991 ever. He was in and out of the team after a disastrous SA tour in 1992 and emergence of Vinod kambli during that time made things even worse for him. He would still somehow get to play until 1996 before he hit his rock bottom (the times when Dravid,Ganguly and laxman made their debuts, which was the last nail in the coffin)
The difference between Dravid and Sanjay are there for the world to see, I don’t think you need to explain it to anyone. That’s why he took your place in the Indian test side.
Comparing Manjrekar’s batting and commentary to Dravid’s batting and coaching is like comparing a pocket calculator to a supercomputer-one occasionally gets the job done, and the other redefines the entire field.
No wonder, he is "Verbal Diarrhea" for a reason!

He is frustrated ex cricketer......envy every achievement of others....
0:15 is very good and the reason I love such commentators.
Who would care about the opinion of a failed cricketer like sanjay
Everybody has opinion.. if you don't want ignore
Are yaar 😅
GOAT OF Cricket Rahul Dravid 🏏
But avg in 30 against macgrath,Warne, Donald, Pollock, Ambrose,Walsh Wasim and Waqar.
@@jiteshkumar3774
That's very good considering the bowling quality and conditions
It's better than MSD the thala
@@jiteshkumar3774
Where did u get this from??
Can u provide the source plz
Average of 30 against Ambrose and Walsh? He only played one series against them where he averaged 72. That was the second highest in the series from both teams and that was in West Indies. He played equally well against other great bowlers. He belongs to an era when our batsman started putting a strong challenge against top bowlers in overseas conditions.
Sanjay you survived so long because of gavaskar, shastri and tendulkar and your pro mumbai group, i cant imagine how you played so long after just that one double century in 1989 against pak
Rahul Dravid The Legend
Sanjay - why don't you analyse your career. You were the star in 1989 - 90 in WI - bouncy tracks - 4 man pace attack, Pakistan - the second best bowling attack. What went wrong - Australia, South Africa - bouncy tracks? Dravid, Ganguly, Laxman pulled the carpet from below your feet.
No wonder, he is "Verbal Diarrhea" for a reason!
He was irritated and not interested in your clarification 😂😂😂
No one like Dravid. He had his strengths and weakness in his style but world will remember him hands down for the nicest sweetest block ever🎉❤
He looks alike waqar younis
For a moment I forgot that
One of the best player of modern era
Manjrekar is less of cricket commentator and more of media content creator, I can any given day be a better cricket commentator than Manjrekar
Nice of both gentlemen.
Rahul Dravid, must and should be the ' New BCCI Secretary '.
The Wall - never go wrong . Salute !!
I seriously don't understand why do people take him seriously
Dont know how this guy became a cricketer
Manjrekar test average is a shade above Aswin in batting
A mediocre batsman who got selected becuase of his father and a equally worst commentator. 😂
I feel rahul dravid should be named great batsman after sachin tendulkar in the world cricket. He earned the name the wall from the audience.
3:04 , well I thought ink was on my screen .
iske sab room mates star nikle, ye aisa kaisa nikla

Sanjay Manjrekar is Rajdeep Sardesai of commentary.. sabne bajai hai inki
So what does this mean only manjrekar have right to say whatever he wants , others cant respond to him? Not everyone needs to be David
I want Manjrekar to be the advisor in my life. I will find everything else to do except what he says.
😂😂
Offcourse it doesn't matter what Manjrakarar says😂😂 we really enjoyed the drama when jaddu ❤gave it to him fair and square.
Commentry is one thing and insulting a person in the name of it is not fair at all . # Bits and pieces
Why any background music is needed for this?
Sometimes I really doubt if you would even get an opportunity to play for Mumbai in today’s day and age. Also if not for you surname I really doubt
Rahul knew as usual Sanjay woud be proved wrong! Hence nonchalant!
Rahul Dravid was a great batsman and more importantly a great human being
Sanjay knows only 1 thing that is criticism.
But he doesn't know his playing abilities.
Think urself before commenting.
But at times your comments are toxic and when ever you praise a batsman who is doing well gets out.
And you didn't do justice to your talent.
Cricket channels and media should stop inviting this guy... He was a below avg player
Has Sanjay achieved anything substantial as a cricketer for India? Definite no is the answer.
He has a wrong habit of critisizing others and upholding his own importance
Sanjay is jealous of Dravid. Dravid was a humble and legend, but Sanjay was a nepo-kid
Can we bring Dravid back as coach 😭
Rahul Dravid know what ever Manjrekar says is 😊.so no point of responding
Sanjay you should focus on yourself
You had a short career with low average
Critic is the one who knows the price of everything and value of nothing . First manjrekar know your own worth before criticizing anyone.
Nothing wrong in criticising Rahul Dravid (if GOD can be criticised, mocked and called selfish then Rahul cannot be an exception)…Rahul is a great cricket player (one of my favourites) but he did have a selfish and jealous side as well in his days.
Here's my criticism of Dravid:
True buddy. In all that, people forgot the 194 that Sachin made. What an awesome knock!
Bhai. He ignored you. Period.
Should we read it as - Sanjay say whatever and I don’t care 😂.. or nobody cares perhaps 😅😅
Sanjay Majrekar a wonderful batsman, but never contributed solidly for India. He should not criticize anyone.
Tu karega 😂
Tu hai kaun bhai..... 😂😂😂 tujhse RAHUL dravid advice lega😂
Rahul Dravid was always a class player
Rahul😊😊 😊😊😊
Great Rahul Dravid sir
Rahul Dravid taking advise from failed Sanjay Manjrekar 😂
Manjrekar very ordinary ordinary player and he is no comparison to great rahul dravid
You don’t have agenda 😂😂😂😂😂
More likely is that ..Dravid might have meant ..you can keep barking ..no one listens to you or takes you seriously...which is what most of the viewers of this video also think
I've never seen a more entitled cricketer than Sanjay manjrekar.
You are only fit to criticise outhers, we know your contribution when you were playing
Tumhari waise bhi aukaat nahi hai dravid already made himself legend in 2009😂😂😂😂 isliye tujhe aisa bola
Sanjay Manjrekar Who?
National waste....manju😂
The commenters here are such idiots😅
Never trust Mumbai players in cricket especially. Even the commentators from Mumbai. They play only for money, name, fame and for records. That too, they play only under a captain if he is a Mumbaikar, including Sachin. Mumbai commentators Gavaskar, Manjrekar, Ravi Shastri, Harsha Bhogle always criticize North & South Indian cricketers and praise Mumbai players only.
Is there anybody whom you have not criticised? You had to eat crow with jaddu
You completely lost ne point. Curb your fragile ego
Kon h yeh
Dravid is dravid
The question is can a commentator be a critique??... commentators dont write blog posts and columns and defend why they say what they say. So they are just comments and opinions...
by the way what's his achievements if anyone can explain or he his jus scrap as I know
Dravid as a naturally good defensive player played the most number of innings to save the face of india in both one day and tests.
You can perhaps say he didn't reach the heights he was expected to reach
flop player matlab kya hein bhai ha thik hein superstar nehi hein lekin tu to apne ghaar mein baitha hein
Omg Sanjay strike rate is 38.67 in test avg 37.14 is decent on those days. 2:51
Mangrekar should volunteerly resign from commentary for the benefit of Indian cricket and fans
Verbal diarrhea 😂😂😂
The difference between Dravid and Sanjay are there for the world to see, I don’t think you need to explain it to anyone. That’s why he took your place in the Indian test side.
you should criticize your own life
Tumh se rahul kya advice lega, what is your contribution to Indian cricket you are just a clone.
Don’t you know English??? Else change the thumbnail language 😅
Worst guy as commentator
Matlab ye jhaat opinions pichle 15 saal se de rahe hai appp😂😂
