Breath, Trev, breath buddy! Worried you'll have the big one and you're WAY too young! Yes, it's overpriced like dozens of other "limited editions" or "special releases" from every other distillery. Are you listening Wild Turkey/Campari and all the others? That said, it's very good bourbon that is NOT a high value. If it isn't something you're really interested in or have a limited budget, stay clear and look for something else. If you are very much wanting to experience Woodford Reserve as it should be (and not the never-ending ridiculous 90.4 proof), this is your bottle. Enjoy it for what it is but you'll not likely buy another one. Just check off that box and move on to greener pastures.
I’m right there with you Jon. But it’s because I HAVE tried most bottles out there. I don’t care about me, I care that people come to my channel to look for reviews and guidance and most of the stuff that people are chasing is for nothing. I guess I gotta learn people will learn for theirselves!
That lingering chocolate finish is worth it, IMO (for every once in a while). It's the only bottle that you will get at something other than 90.4 proof from them.
The 118 last year was fantastic, almost made me a Woodford convert. This one was "meh." The 5 malt tasted like hazelnut coffee and nearly made me hurl...it now languishes in my garage
I may be in the minority, but I don’t like WR and I like DO even less. That bottle is $100 over priced. F**k WR. And that’s the bottom line, bc Stone Cold said so!!
Got mine for 109 and enjoyed it and gave away samples. It's gone and not gonna replace it.

Woodford is missing an opportunity by not releasing a barrel proof version of their common double oaked bottle
I think that would break the bourbon world. I also agree I have no idea why they haven’t released a regular old woodford/double oaked barrel proof.

It’s literally just a barrel proof NAS bourbon for $130+
I could get two age states barrel proof MGP produced bottles for that.
The woodford batch proof are my fav bourbon...bought cases of the 118.4, 119.3 and the 124.7.. just love it.

Yeah round 750ml up to 800ml or just make it a full liter, joining the bandwagon on that rant! I mean c'mon man especially at $120.
I paid $65 for Stagg 22A, so for an extra $75 I could get WR Batch proof, let me think...
