Y'know, I absolutely adore the mood shift between each album side. The Red side was very triumphant and energetic, Blue was calming and somber, and this one just feels so, off. In a good way. It's discordant at times and unsettling, as if something doesn't quite fit right. And they all seem to fit very well with the moods presented in the game itself; energetic, melancholy or simply terrifying.
It takes some serious talent to make a single album with THREE SIDES

I love the Asimov reference "That Thou Art Mindful of Him". It's brilliant.
For those of you that don't know, basically, that was the title of a short story where two robots that are designed to interact with humans design robots that didn't need to follow the Three Laws of Robotics. Eventually, while they're on stand-by mode in storage, decide that smarter humans orders should take precedence over ones of lesser intelligence and that they shouldn't discriminate by physical properties like race, gender, and so on. With those to revelations, they decide that technically, they're smarter than any humans, and that their own physical traits are the only things that separate them from humans, so, they should listen to their own orders before humans'.
tl;dr The story is about robots who think they're better than humans. I wonder what robots we might know who think the same way?

There are terrible pockets of fans in every fandom. You know what I run into more than terrible Undertale fans? People complaining about the Undertale fandom. It was an incredibly inspirational game for me and the hatred for it from certain types of bitter people who are overreacting to a negative part of the fandom (no doubt inflated by the internet) truly makes me sad.

I never got involved with the fandom and didnt play the game much myself
Despite that the soundtrack is one of the best ive heard from any videogame
Up there with metroid prime 1, halo2 and the last of us
And the game is heavily underrated
My sister would constantly talk about it and i never gave it much though until i walked in on her fighting sans
I saw how hard the boss was and saw how much effort she put in
And then watched her celebrate after finally beating him
That got me interested so i watched a bunch of lps and vids
I admittedly have little hands on experience with the game yet i still think its heavily underrated and is one of the best examples that passion and determination are what make the best art
This game is one of the games i can consider a true work of art
So many companies make their games out of the will for money and they always get criticized
This game was made with passion
No budget, no huge team, no huge name to advertise with
Just passion... that created one of the most passionate fan bases ive ever seen for better or for worse
This game should be talked about more and used as an example more often

Ossein is my favorite remix of bonetrousle ever, and honestly one of my favorite rendition of any undertale song.

Rich was Red, I was Blue. We did one more combined to make Purple. That is the end. We actually called it Purple side as opposed to Determination 2 because we wanted that finality.

Just wanted to let you know that I've been a massive music fan for all my life and have listen and loved 1000's of songs, but for whatever reason "Primer" is my favorite song ever. I have listened to it almost daily for 2 years and I've never once grown tired of it. I just wanted to let you know that you made someones all time favorite and that you're awesome. Keep up the good work man!
rich, you did it. you made me cry twice, as a 15 year old guy, you made me cry with the red side and the purple side. This music's gotten me through some bad times (insert generic story about depression and anxiety) and I just want to say that you are up there with the best of them, in my opinion. I remember playing Undertale for the first time. It was a true-pacifist run, and I did the whole thing in one sitting. I was expecting the game to be an awful cross between Homestuck and Earthbound, due to TobyFox's previous work. I didn't want to play it at all and I was sure that it was just another overhyped game that would fail to meet expectations. I was crying by the end. The game blew my expectations out of the water, through the roof, and into space. One of the biggest parts of that was the music, and the Determination albums captures the spirit of not only the original music, but the entire game, and channels it into unique songs, whether those songs be metal, techno, jazz, or dubstep. I love these albums.

And It would be great if you changed it up, went all out with it. I would love to see Gasters Theme. The original is super short, I know. You guys would likely have to come up with new bits, remix stuff, and whatever else it is to do what you guys do, but a Gasters Theme from you guys...that would just make my day. Please?

I really enjoy the slow pace of this album. It's not mellow, but its slow and carries darkness in it. This one has a ton of depth to it that I can't get enough of. Great work you guys!

Marvelous job, boys! Certainly a fresh new take on many of these songs! I'd say my favorite cover from Richaad on the Purple Side is Augury (may or may not be partially because Waterfall is my favorite track in the entire game, oh and also Juuuules) and my favorite from Ace would probably have to be That Thou Art Mindful of Him because I'm weird and I love darker versions of happier-sounding songs.

You want to move on at this point, we get it, but why the resolutions? I always felt like this sort of resolutions undermines one's creative freedom by cutting a figurative chunk from the figurative bulk of the music to work with.
As fun as our time underground was, its time we head back to the surface. It was one hell of a ride though!
I'd imagine setting user/sub expectations and hopefully stemming a fraction of the flood of requests for more Undertale covers are among the motivations. :D
