Many atomberg fans only last 3 years. Then you need to replace the PCB board, which costs 700RS. Normal fans will run for 25 years without any issues.

and if you calculate the bill its out of the world against normal fan, if you want to save money bldc is the way to go. we use 3 fans and those fan eat 80+80+80w, and 3 bldc fan will eat 100-120w max which is tiny amount ,it will save lot of money

Bldc is electronic device, life is less , repair costs, required remote which requires replacement upon spoil and it's costs, and battery required to run which need to change offten , but regular fan once installed runs for years
Did they match the cmm rpm etc in your testing?
I remember when big brands like Philips first brought led bulbs to India and they costed 899-1000rs etc during that time. It wasn't until Chinese brands entered India that price fell drastically and it finally became affordable. Led bulbs also reduced the power demand from the energy company and this helped the govt.
The same isn't happening with bldc fans unfortunately. Most of these units cost around 300rs to produce and sold at 10x the cost. Here too, we'll require the help of China to break the monopoly.

If a BLDC fan fails after warranty it’s probably become trash. Normal induction motor fan are seen running for centuries
Companies now a days use aluminium windings in fans for cost cutting. Which if gets too hot in summers will burn and if you rewind them with good-quality copper winding then forget about damaging your fan they will never fail (mostly). We have a old fan in our home since my great grand father. He used to use this fan in his room. Now this fan is fastest in our home probably consuming 100w but it is fast because it is rewinded once with copper wire and never failed again. It's life is 30+ and still running.
One small service you have to do to your regular fan every year. you Need to replace capacitor every year costs you 30rupee.
@@ronaksoni2729 we have fans in our in our older family house as old as 30+ no service nothing the tenets don’t care to spend on a rented house but the fans still works as they used to work since I was born. Also lot of brands realise that consumers are getting aware and again started making copper winding moters in IM fans too.

. Three years warranty.
. 30year Old fan consume 80 to 100w.
CONCLUSION .if you have running old fan then don't change it but want to buy new fan then always choose bldc..

But u forget 1 thing.. The 1700 u pay extra on bldc on 2020 is not same on 2025 .. If u look at that chart.. Money value deficiency. The chart will be less difference.. And i do not think a normal fan will make u pay 2300 on a year even if run for 12 hours each day
Also for people living in villages electricity is much cheaper than any city place. Like in my state H.P. it would be wise to go with old fan as the cost of bldc will only gonna be recover after 10-15 yr later.

If you are purchasing a fan now please consider a BLDC fan because it will costs you equal to a regular fan in long term.
Consider you take a 1500 rupee fan then it will definitly comes with aluminium winding and it gets burned after some time you have to rewind it which will cost you around 1000-1500 depending on copper/aluminium winding and you end up paying more than a BLDC fan.
Besides you get extra features in BLDC fan such as remote control,off timer, sleep mode which will lower speed as it gets cold 🥶 in night. Also this new technology is very efficient so definitely it's failure chances are less and definitely saves you money in electricity bill (If your electric company is charging you according to your correct meter readings and not on a hypothetical reading which is always 3-4 times of original reading and the sad part is almost 50% of the Indian house holds are paying on that hypothetical basis and gov. Discom don't give a fuck they just know how to take bribe from normal people for every work they are supposed to do as a part of their job.

The parameters are not taking into consideration the opportunity cost of higher investment. Further, 4fans in the house do not all run 12hours a day. So if we buy more fans, the benefit would be less, may be even non existent

Hi, bldc fan is not controlled by regulator, it’s only controlled by it’s remote. It surpasses old regulator technology to save power. In remote the speed was kept at 5 itself.
