Thanks Tom. Man, I hope such conversations can slow down the church's adoption of all the secular rhetoric. Ours should be different. Prayers for you and Rhoda in your ministry.
Well said! It’s a difficult word to hear, I learned to value justice and fairness, both of which seem to be abused in our present world. Therefore I pray for the peace of Jerusalem…. and Father Gods will be done….
Thanks. And yes, we abuse justice and fairness partly by confusing it with retaliation. I see it in my own tendency to a worldly response. But knowing that there are Israeli Christians and Palestinian Christians (both are minorities, but affected by this conflict), I am challenged to think through these three conversations from their perspectives. It should be a longer conversation than just who needs to be killed now. I'm encouraged to pray for a friend's ministry who, for years, has been working at building trust and fellowship between the Israeli and Palestinian Christians, and has had success in it. I pray for them. May their witness be strong and filled with peace and love.
Good Word Roger! Thanks for sharing a great perspective on this.
