- This week I get to show you around a project that we have been working on for months. We have built our own dome glamping cabin. After working on this project, off and on for months we have finally completed the main structure. It is small but mighty with thirteen inch ceilings and some other cool surprises as well. I can't wait for you to check it out, and I really can't wait to decorate!
We are still trying to determine what to cover the interior walls with, so I would love to hear some suggestions if you have any.

The old saying of measure twice & cut once is so true.

Awesome! Im going to build a 16' one on a tree stump this summer, so it looks like a mushroom.
Sounds interesting. I'm guessing it's a large tree stump? Also, why are mushrooms so appealing? I love mushrooms... 🍄🍄 Maybe it was all the "Smurfs" I watched as a kid...

Nice work ! I bought the same plans , Ive got all the panels built, looking forward to putting it up!
It may be helpful to know that the structure is somewhat flexible until the dome is completed and secured. This may help a bit if something isn't fitting quite right.

Well done guys. I just built a 5m zome from johnnys plans. It's certainly a learning curve!!!! Thanks for putting the video together and posting. I would love to do one, but I am no good in front of the camera. 😅

It was challenging but workable. Take your time with the measurements. We made all the shapes and then assembled it. It is definitely not a beginner project, but can be done. Good luck with your build...

Were all the triangles equilateral??
No, they are not. Most of the shapes are trapezoidal (had to look up how to spell that). Check out Trillium Domes online.

Should have more on that soon. We are done the waterproof weather shield and are working on the shingles.. also finishing up interior insulation
