Im two thirds thru this Podcast....and this has been SO informative. Im on rokslide, and have seen lots of Aron videos, and postings on there. This podcast definitely put a few things into perspective for me. Lightweight vs Capability. Shelters, tarps, tents...all great info. Pack selection, gear selection....etc. I used to hunt elk 20 years ago, and am recently trying to get back into it even though im STUCK IN TEXAS.....UGGG> I miss Wyoming and Idaho! And yes...I STILL WANT A SAWTOOTH...LOL
Hey rbljackson! Glad you liked the Podcast! I LOVE your comment. Thanks for stopping by. Aron put a few things into perspective for me too. I really value Aron's experience and I was very excited to get him on the Podcast. I only wish I had more time to pick his brain. ;) Thanks again!
I don't even remember how I got to your channel 2 yrs old February but I've been subscribed since this episode. Love the channel & stay Gritty gentlemen.
Man, I ain't a hunter.. more of a hiker photographer but I'ma buy a Kifaru pack... cause even though I don't get out in the cuts enough, (I prolly make it out more than most.. but not out there like these guys) I can respect men that live their lives getting out as much as Aron Snyder. Much respect to you guys!
I just came back from a grueling 25 mile scout into the Sangres in Colorado and the EMR was unbeatable. Five of us went in and I was the only one that didn't wish for a different pack.
Loved the podcast! Lots of great info. I've met Aron at a. Elk seminar he did last year here in Colorado and he's definitely a cool guy. He'll definitely go out of his way to help someone when it comes to questions regarding hunting gear. I shot him a private message on a forum and he sent me his number and said to give him a call and he'd help to answer some questions I had on gear. 👍👍 I personally think we need more of these kinds of podcasts out there and can't wait to see what you have in store for the next one.
Marc Perez Thank you so much for the awesome feedback! Aron is the real deal and he knows his stuff! Thanks for supporting the podcast. -Katie Gritty Sister
Can't believe this podcast is less than a year old. The quality has been incredible since day one. Really enjoy it and yes I'm about to be pack poor. :D
I don't usually sit and listen through things like these; but I really enjoyed this podcast. I always try to keep my ears glued to a conversation when you get a chance to hear from knowledgeable guys who have been around the block more than once...especially the humble ones. Some great topics discussed and good info. Good stuff guys.
Thanks Luke. Glad you liked it. We're going to do our best to get more guys like Aron on the show. A big thanks to Aron for doing this. The guy exceeded my expectations--just a super cool dude.
Brian Call No doubt Brian! It just hit me during this, when Aron said that you could call him "any time" and he'd "answer from a mountain on a Sat phone..."...yeah, that's right....he HAS done that before! Not too many other company reps truly care and are vested like he is. I'm glad you grabbed those two and coerced them into an interview. LOL.
I was looking at a new decent hiking pack for the wilds of Australia. I started going down the road of the ultra light weight pack. I eventually stumbled across the Kifaru brand and started researching. Being ex military I fell in love with the design and the modularity of them. I ended up buying the now discontinued AG1 pack. I definately don't regret the money I spent when I load 20kg of camera gear plus supplies for the day. Most comfortable pack I have ever owned and easily takes all the punishment I give it!
I got the Navigator - I bought mine back when they'd do customisations so I have extra PALs on the top. Awesome harnesses. I rupttured disc in my lower spine in the RAAC and despite that I can carry 30Kg in my Kifaru pack. Or I could a few years ago. Really awesomely designed harness. Patrick Smith's work of art.
Great video guys! I just found you on here last week. I'll be watching your vids. Great info and funny! I need to get a Kifaru pack when I get the money scraped up. It's a lot of money for a pack, but I think the investment will be worth it. I'm slowly getting all my gear for my first elk hunt. Can't wait!
Just got work that my kifaru MW is on its way. Thanks Aaron for your advice on the phone. From the way it sounds, this should be the last pack I ever buy.
After hundreds of miles with mediocre packs, I am finally pulling the trigger on a Duplex frame. And shortly there after I am pairing it with a Nomad. Stuffs not cheap, but I think you get what you pay for. I am pretty stoked on making my purchase.
Good stuff. Some testosterone boosters were mentioned at the end of the podcast, and I'd like to mention that all of the common test boosters have been studied and shown NOT to increase test levels ( excluding prohormones... which is entirely different ). Do what you like, but I would encourage you guys to take a look at the back of the bottle and google the active ingredients for reputable studies. A good place to start is examine(dot)com. No marketing bullshit, just a compilation of studies that can help you in figuring out whether or not what you are taking will actually have any effect at all, or the effects that you are expecting.
you guys need to get ahold of Bob Laughlin shows in Puyallup Washington they also do Portland Oregon and come to a show so I can buy a bunch of product see it first-hand great podcast very information
Your grandfather has gone hunting with a 120 lb backpack costing a second-hand car. You forget that you're talking this shit to people who go hunting without packed food in the backpack ... you're in the woods ... Americans.
Why does kifaru cost so much? Because idiots will buy it! Lol ill never spend that kind of money on a brand. Never have needed to and never will and im a successful hunter. It just not necessary.
Crazy to see how far A Aron has come with how shy he is in this podcast! hahahhaha Cant believe I have been following along for 3 years now brother!

Great show. Aron seems like a really cool guy. I've been looking at getting a kifaru pack and it's the next thing in my list.

My EMR II and duplex frame has landed! It's made the 6421 mile journey from Wheat Ridge, CO to Cambridge in the UK
Hi
Was it worth the miles, I see it is 2 years ago since this comment, are you still using the pack?
@@ukglassdesigns409 yes; still in use and standing up to any amount of use

you spell yer name wrong dude...
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. KIFARU IS THE BEST. I DO NOT MIND SPENDING THE MONEY ON A WELL BUILT PACK. KIFARU IS THE BEST,,,, BETTER THAN ALL THE REST.
Why does kifaru cost so much? Because idiots will buy it! Lol ill never spend that kind of money on a brand. Never have needed to and never will and im a successful hunter. It just not necessary.
You're a tree stand hunter, this equipment doesn't apply to you.
Because there is a sucker who will pay for them
why do people who promote Kifaru product act like profane a-holes?
They don't, it's just you...
