Here's my two cents...nothing of the original personalities of the robots that became Cyclonus, Scourge, and the Sweeps remained in them. They are essentially new personalities created wholly by Unicron. Only Galvatron remembers having been anyone different, because he's essentially still Megatron in all but name. So for my money, the remnants of those other Transformers were evenly distributed and given new personalities. So, it doesn't matter whether Cyclonus was Skywarp or Bombshell.
That's how I see it as well. The old Marvel universe books have bio's for Cyclonus and Scourge that mention they are created from the remnants of dead Decepticons. If I remember correctly 😅

Y'all free to argue with me that it's Bombshell coz of the animation and even storyboards, Skywarp still makes far more sense. Bombshell only has an animated error as his defense.
Not only that but the Insecticons were army builders with their ability to self replicate. So it make sense that they would replicate into Scourges' Sweeps and Cyclonus' Armada.
Scourge does have some points. 1. He was Thundercracker, Megatron became Galvatron, and Shrapnel and Kickback both became Sweeps. 2. Bombshell almost ALWAYS betrays and deserts the Decepticons. So Bombshell must have turned into the third Sweep by Unicron in the last minute, he have been destroyed by Unicron near the end of the movie, or he just deserted the Decepticon cause without anyone looking. Personally, I think Unicron used Skywarp and Bombshell to make one Cyclonus. He must have primarily used Skywarp as the basis with Bombshell's parts used to complete him. Edit: The bombshell clone became Cyclonus' Armada, while the blue Decepticon drone Watchbot became the third sweep offscreen.
The reformation scene showed Scourge + 2 Sweeps and 2 Cyclonus. A moment later it are one Cyclonus, Scourge and three Sweeps instead. Too short for the Sweeps to have created a new one. Meaning the second Cyclonus never existed in the first place and it was meant to be a third Sweep all along. The higher number of Sweeps that appeared later (up to Sweep Number 7, who even called himself this) should have been created by the cloning ability the Sweeps retained. All about creating someone from multiple robots and/or merging personalities is speculation.
@jps6071 I had thought about that. Thanks to Artist San, there was a seventh Decepticon who most likely became the sweep. In that the scene where the 5 Decepticons gets jettisoned, there was a blue drone named Watchbot.

Point 1: All the decepticons who were thrown from Astrotrain were functional prior to getting thrown out but that doesn't mean outside of Megatron, they weren't dead by the time they got to Unicron. So there dead/non functional bodies could have been reformatted into either Cyclonus, Scourge, or the Sweeps so it's irrelevant because they don't even reference they're former selves and only praise Galvatron. Remember in part 1 of five faces of death on Char Astrotrain said in the days of Megatron it was not like this. Then Cyclonus said you mean Galvatron and him and the Sweeps began the hail Galvatron chant. Astrotrain said well they were the same guy. So clearly their programming was to acknowledge who they are now, not who they use to be. Point 2: In Call of the Primitives, there was a scene where a sweep said "Sweeps 6 and 7 coming in for a strike ". So therefore, the Sweeps could be Thundercracker, Skywarp, other seekers, (Remember season 1 had multiple unnamed seekers in the first 3 episodes) or the insecticons. Point 3: If we are to assume a lot of Autobots died off screen both known characters and unknown during the battle at Autobot city, then it's safe to assume the same thing about the Decepticons. There's no way the Autobots were outnumbered only by the small group we saw on screen. There clearly had to be more if they were truly outnumbered. So with that being said the Decepticons probably had more casualties thus more bodies thrown out of Astrotrain. Just because we didn't see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. Imagination and it being fictional makes the possibilities limitless.
I didnt know there was a debate. It was obvious to me that it was Bombshell, and I dont see much to change my mind. All of them except Galvatron/Megatron seem like reincarnations anyways, but Bombshell definately is the more likely candidate as a kickass second in command. I never even noticed that one of the seekers also changed into Cyclonus in the background, I remember him as being a sweep.
Can we get a follow up to this with them attacking Junkion? Have it be the reveal that the other Junkions are actually getting Studio Series 86 figures made.
I STILL MAINTAIN: The Seekers are the ones who became the named characters. Thundercracker became Cyclonus as they are both noble warriors who occasionally question their purpose and leadership. Skywarp became Scourge as they are both brutish bullies of relatively low intelligence. The Insecticons became the Sweeps because there's a virtual army of both, especially with their powers of duplication. You can tell me I'm wrong and I'll accept that I'm wrong, but you can't defend against my powerful headcanon!!
Thundercracker becomes Scourge. Slow the scene from the movie down and you will see its the Blue jet who floats next to two Shrapnel and Kickback. Next scene, they get reformatted into Scourge and Sweeps. Skywarp was floating next to Bombshell, they became Cyclonus and the Armada. People never acknowledge this fact. Thundercracker is solidly Scourge. Cheers

All of them except Galvatron/Megatron seem like reincarnations anyways, but Bombshell definately is the more likely candidate as a kickass second in command. I never even noticed that one of the seekers also changed into Cyclonus in the background, I remember him as being a sweep.
The other guy is “his Armada.” Cyclonus and his Armada…of one
As a kid I never understood why the Sweeps didn't transform from Robot to Dust-brooms.
Jajaja ... the eternal discussion XD
I love this! No bad language, just a fun stop-motion
Its like an episode of Robot Chicken.
So if the official Hasbro Pulse posts this, meaning Cyclonus being Skywarp rather than Bombshell is finally cannon?
Love it!! So funny!! 😂😂😂
so cyclonus is frenzy?
This feels like a robot chicken skit
I LOVED THIs!
It kind of started as a joke but started to get some real plot going >u>
Can we get a follow up to this with them attacking Junkion? Have it be the reveal that the other Junkions are actually getting Studio Series 86 figures made.
I STILL MAINTAIN:
The Seekers are the ones who became the named characters.
Cheers
@@KeepSmilingJoel I don't care.
I was like to think that they all died lol. Like I don't think the sweeps know who they used to be at all. I think they're metal was just used to make them
That’s it folks, debates over, you can all go home now
Brilliant! More please!
When I Came Across This, I Was Thinking This Was A Stop-Motion Replica Of The Reincarnation Of Some Members Of The Decepticons' Severely Damaged-To-The-Point-Of-Death Forces (Led By The Similarly Bad Megatron) Into *Scourge* - The Tracker, And His Huntsmen: The *Sweeps* - How Was I Supposed To Know This Gonna Be Stop-Motion Fun?!
I’m loving these
I recognized two og voice actors, but I’m interested in the other two after the first top two, John and Greg.
Travis Ryan is lead singer of Cattle Decapitation, and voice actor. He mimicked his death metal vocals after Orson Welles's Unicron. Francis is also a musician and pro voice actor.
The easy way to fix this is Skywarp became Cyclonus and Bombshell became his twin, Armada, who was destroyed off camera during the final battle.
Idk why this was recommended to me, but stellar stop action there.
I kinda wish Scourge talked fast during his explanation on Cyclonus being Skywarp if you know what I’m saying. 😉
Cyclonus is both Skywarp AND Bombshell.
There.
Maybe its
Cyclonus is Skywarp
Scorge is thundercracker
sweep 1 is bombshell
sweep 2 is sharpnel
sweep 3 is kickback
the sweeps may have lost some memory data forgetting who is who
Finally the answer to our problems
No it isn't.
Well, seeing as there were only 2 sweeps + scourge that means bombshell must have reformatted himself as a sweep
but why didnt the sweeps acknowledge that "the other cyclonus" was replaced by a third sweep?
