This was an awesome build. Fun fact...when you're talking at about 2:45 about speed...several crew members claimed that the SS US overtook as Destroyer during her sea trials. Apparently the Navy was not happy that a passenger ship could outrun a destroyer (Fletcher Class did just over 36 knots) and when she returned to port the Navy installed steam reduction valves and other equipment to keep her speed down. When she took the Blue Ribband she averaged over 35 knots. Crew members say she achieved just over 40 knots during trials...talk about awesome engineering.

I absolutely agree with you Tom about the SS America! She is in fact my favourite ship. Shame what happened to her in the end, but at least she wasn’t scrapped in the end.
Histobrick should add the "Caronia" of Cunard Line. Nicknamed the Green Goddess due to her green color scheme that Cunard came up with which made her iconic.

The Cap Arcona went down taking over 3 times the amount of lives that the Titanic took which compounded on the namesake that some give it as truely, the German Titanic

Tom that beard almost makes you look like a completely different person. Not even kidding 😂 I absolutely love the Big U. I got to see her in person when I was returning from my school service trip: the first ocean liner I ever encountered. Since then I've written a paper on her that won me third place at my school's original oratory competition, and just recently I completed a slideshow on William Francis Gibbs for my year-end project, a man whose footsteps I intend to follow as I pursue my dream of becoming a naval architect. She is everything I'd ever want in a ship: she's big, she's sleek, she's blue, she's fast, and she gets bonus points for being made right here in the good old US of A. She is second only to Titanic for being my most favorite liner of all time, and maybe she'll take the top spot if Titanic II finally manages to hit the waves and bring about a happy ending to the most infamous of maritime stories. HistoBrick did a lovely job at recreating her in LEGO, as well as other ships. While I don't plan on getting one, I have every intention on making my own scratch-built model: 1/350 scale to go along with my beloved Titanic. Glad to know that she's finally well on her way towards restoration. Shoutout to the SSUS Conservancy & RXR Realty. :D
I'm assuming HistoBricks will expand beyond ships eventually and move on to other historical models, which probably will include buildings. Can theas histobrick ships float? Do a video on that
I'd dig the Mauretania or Aquitania. Hate that this kit isn't available anymore.
For some reason I don’t see Olympic or the Arizona on the website but I see the the United States?
I would love to see a USS Constitution as a kit. Ol' Ironsides would look so pretty ~v~
I'd love to see a kit of the SS America
how about a model of a Caravela, or a Nau?
Portuguese Discovery Age Ships, Thanks
