It's definitely worth it!! Reliable brand high ride cheap to service Toyota is the king of hybrids. Worth the investment especially if your 1st or 2nd car and since EVs remain far too expensive because manufacturers put too much emphasis into making EVs luxurious.

These smaller imitation Toyota cross models are the future of replacing the RAV4 as far as affordability goes. So if you're not rich enough to afford a RAV4 or a Highlander, now you have the Toyota cross. This is to assure that Toyota keeps selling cars even after they slow down on the sales of RAV4s because nobody can afford them anymore. Just like Ford made the Ford ranger and Chevy made the Colorado truck. They need a car to sell for every financial class of people out there. This is the same when you go buy gas, furniture, what grocery shop you choose to shop at or price of house. Every corporation needs to sell a product priced for the poor, the middle class and the rich. Or they could have just did one thing, lower the price on the RAV4s and never make the Toyota cross in the first place.

Our 2020 Toyota CHR bought new, dealer serviced.. Developed a slight whine at 66K miles... Had dealer diagnose, needed a new CVT Transmission, $10,500 plus tax... We sold the next morning to Carmax for a very good price.. Last week we bought a new Mazda CX30 with a Automatic tranny.
Be very, very careful with CVT Transmission, they cost a fortune to replace when they fail and they all fail.

Looking at pricing online, dealers charge way above msrp for these. That (I know what I got) mentality of dealers makes these vehicles undesirable to consider buying. They are not worth paying thousands above msrp and having thousands of miles on them as well.

Weirdly, it seems as slow as it does. All the auto journalists seem to have this complaint about it. It has 168hp standard, which is more than most of the Corolla Cross's competitors. Maybe it's more of an issue with the CVT tuning than the actual engine power. Some CVTs want to keep the engine RPMs too high when it's not necessary, giving the impression the engine is weaker than it actually is. That aside, Corolla Cross seems like a good choice, but I can't get over how expensive it is compared to its competitors. It's over $2,000 more comparably equipped than the Honda HRV. That's hard to justify.

i bought a 2023 hybrid model and it sucks in many ways. do not buy it if you live in a cold place with subzero temperatures. i did and the car refused to start and there wasways around the battery because of the area it was battery at the back trunk area. the trunk is the coldest place in this SUV and this can carec big troubles for your battery. also do not buy the cross with material.seats. they're freezing in winter and take a.long time to get hot. also the storage space is tterrible. you dont realize this until you buy onu and drive it for a.while. and i see no reason why you need to have stwhile storage space for 6 bottles in front and no proper place to put your.keys of.anything else. also the backup.camera had to be replaced it and regularly gets dirty very easily and blocks your vision then you have to get out and wipe it clean. this suv could also give you big problems in winter because of its sensitive battery on the side on the back. If you stay in a warm area its fine but subzero cold places is a.definite.no no.. also its very diffcult to see how far you are away from the front and sides if you dont have other cameras installed. the trunk space is.also very small. go measure its width and compare it with a.normal car. not much of a.difference. rather buy a base version rav 4 if youre on a tight budget.

I love the Toyota band for its durability and reliability. But they should step up their game with the styling. Even the 2024 models look too ordinary and just like every other SUV. Some of the other less reliable brands are coming up with much better styling, for example Hyundai, Kia and others are picking up a much more modern look. But I would never buy those brands.
