Back in the day my Polaroid film developed in 5 minutes right before my eyes. It was cool seeing it develop quickly as you were holding it. The current film takes about 15 minutes and it’s recommend to put the photo in the dark while it is developing, which takes part of the fun away not watching it develop in my opinion. Hopefully they can get the film processing chemical back to how it used to be.
@@Luiscameraman I do like the Bluetooth functionality. If you do run into Bluetooth connectivity issues there is a way to still use the self timer. ruclips.net/video/dWsLVgv5pOY/видео.html
In Double Exposure mode you can actually disable the flash within the app. Simply press the flash icon (lightning bolt) button on the top of the screen. Even other features in the app can disable the flash in that manor. If you're using the portrait mode on yourself you obviously won't be able to press the physical flash button on the camera.
Cheers dude ! I'm actually realising a new video tomorrow about the double exposure setting on the polaroid camera. A friend is selling 3d printed lens cap/modifier that allows you to get two images in one frame in a cool way.
Great informative video. Just took a picture of Sammy and Adelard, who just had his operation in Vernon, Texas. Turned out fine (his operation.) Also, the camera is fine too! Will order one tonight. I owned the SX-70 and loved it, as it was state of the art in the 1970's. This will be fun to have nowadays. Many Thanks.
Can you combine double exposure mode, and light painting mode? I would love to be able to take a double exposure, then do some light painting around the frame
Yes it's a great little camera, and the photos have loads of character... They are by no means perfect like the ones your get out of most DSLR these days. but, I think that's what I like about the instant photos.
can you do double exposure without your phone? I ordered mine yesterday and just watching reviews lol Now I'm finding out that it doesn't connect with android...Annoying. Too much hate with android I see ha.
Hi, it's does connect with android. I'm using an Huawei phone on the tutorial. And yes you do need a phone to access the bluetooth functions of the camera, long exposure, double exposure, noise trigger. The connection is not flawless sometimes it does not recognize the camera just like whenever your trying to connect to headphones something bluetooth work sometimes it does not, just reset the connection and try again. You will love the camera! It's a very cool little versatile cam.
Yes it seems expensive for the new generation that has never had the need for physical copies of photographs. We are used to checking the photos on phones and forgetting about them instantly. But I remember in my family home there where albums and books of photographs and the ones that did no fit on photo album where on shoeboxes. They documented everything from a first house, a child birth to a college graduation. Do you think it would be cool to have memories of moments in your life, and when your older be able revisit them?
@@Luiscameraman i know but the company says that shaking photos, which once helped them to dry, is not necessary since the modern version of Polaroid film dries behind a clear plastic window. The photo "never touches air, so shaking or waving has no effect," the company said on its site. "In fact, shaking or waving can actually damage the image. Rapid movement during development can cause portions of the film to separate prematurely, or can cause 'blobs' in the picture. sophort.com/polaroids-to-shake-or-not-to-shake/
Also you shouldn’t expose it to light so early on as the developing image is very sensitive to light. Once you pull it from the camera, put it in a pocket or in the cardboard film box to continue to develop.
Yeah Polaroid sales a digital scanner don't remember the name but if you Google it you'll find it, you can scan the photos then have them in digital form, they turn out 👍
The Polaroid free App has a feature to scan a physical Polaroid photograph to your phone - straightens and crops to keep the Polaroid white frame format or you can crop to just the image. You can use the app at an angle to avoid light reflections and it will re-align it correctly.
Hi Anime lover, the camera es analogue so there is no way to preview the images once you clicked the shutter the camera will print a photo. The time for development is around 10 minute. But you're able to see the image appear slowly untill fully developed. Hope that helps.
Dude it's designed to look like the original vintage versions. The design team most likely made a conscious decision to keep a traditional form factor. I think that's what makes the camera cool. It's different.
No, the camera is analogue and takes photos on the polaroid square cartridges. The Bluetooth function is a bridge and expands how you take the photos and give you control over exposure and the creative modes.
@@Luiscameraman okay brother thank you for that. I went ahead and got one anyway. I totally understand the value in having a physical picture. We're so used to just clicking and clicking and taking thousands of pictures that are of no consequence, they cost nothing, and we forget about them until we have to delete them to make more digital storage space. I am wondering, when you take the digital pictures of your Polaroid exposures, does it look different when displayed on the screen than it does in real life? My main concern is that when you take a digital photo of the Polaroid print out, the digital photo is still going to look like a digital photo of the Polaroid print.
The prints have a very analogue feel. They are cool and I like they fact that they are not perfect, it's makes them feel older than they are. If that makes sense 😅.

When The Impossible Project brought back Polaroid film the early batches I've been told took 30 minutes to develop.
Very informative! Didn’t know whether to choose the + or the 2! Now I made my decision and I’m going for the +
Yes, the Bluetooth makes the camera more fun and give you freedom to create cooler looking images, with the app. Enjoy your camera!!

It's a great little camera. I have a good few photos now and it's cool to have them actually printed for a change instead of just on a screen.

Polaroid is bringing back these cameras so why can't they bring back the polaroid film used in the instant film backs for 4x5 and 6x6 cameras

The photos we took are in the slides, in the video.
Hey, i didnt get that part, you still can use the camera without the phone? Right?
Yes, you can, but not in the Creative modes, like remote, timed etc...
16 bucks for 8 photos. Imagine that high life.

I hate the music used in the background

Cool, I'll try to only use music you like for future vids! Thanks for watching. 🤜🤛
