This info is so useful and nice to have it compiled concisely in one place. Some of this info is out there on a million forums for around 25 years but, that's an unorganized mess!
I remember reading guides as a kid on the order of attacks from the BradyGames guide. Understanding the mechanics and effects of this is way more useful and practical. Having a high magic stat and setting up fields for summons seems to be the best combo for characters with varying magic stats. Combined with your 11 tips on loading up as many slots as possible, I'm excited to see how I combo magic in the game :). Also saying no to Kid.

FWIW, the effect of each slot field slot or +/- allocation level is 12.5%, as is the bonus for using an element which matches your innate. So Fargo using a blue element is +12.5% with another +12.5% for each blue field slot. It's then another +12.5% for each level higher the element is allocated. Of course, if you're going from 112.5% to 150%, the numerical increase seen will appear to be ~34% like seen in this video because you're not starting from 100%.

Hey bro thanks for this awesome info! What do you think would be the most optimized party composition? Maybe 3 of the same color? All from different unrelated colors (for example a white, a blue, and a green)? I've always wondered what the best strategy is. Thanks and keep it up!
As far as i'm aware i read thar every "ring" of the field effect increases ~11% the power of the element, which seems to be more or less acurate with the data in your video, but it also reduces the same amount (~11%) the oposing color, it would be interesting to know, specially because if you manage a Diminish and 2 other black spells you may be able to basically destroy Miguel's power. but tbh i didn't tested it. dod you got any video or any data in the matter of power reduction?

@@zz1000zz you mean that if fargo uses a blue element with the field blue it deals +50%? i feel like that's a bit too much, specially notable with the weaker casters. but maybe i'm just too used to the standard set of characters.
@@JoachimVampire yup, he would deal 50% more damage with it than a non-Blue character with the same MAG would. And at the same time, the three Blue slots would mean Red enemies using Red elements/techs/attacks would go from dealing 112.5% to 75% damage. Managing the field can make a world of difference in Chrono Cross. And remember, it's not just Blue innates that can utilize a Blue field. Lynx with a full blue field would get +37.5% while using a Blue element, which while not as high as Fargo's +50% is still great.
So a roughly 10% damage boost per field color, that does not feel like much. however if you use the field effect against the opposing innate it turns into a 20% swing per section due to the added 10% decrease in opponents stats.
I’d love to see the varying levels, like what does having 1 field effect increase it by, or 2/3. Does damage decrease if the field is the opposite color? I like your content, keep it up
