Für die Startrampe COVERED Session haben Lena&Linus den Song “Skinny Love” von Bon Iver gewählt. Der Song trägt die beiden zurück zu ihren Anfängen, denn er ist der Grund, warum es Lena&Linus überhaupt gibt.

Lena&Linus from Würzburg are currently one of the most successful singer-songwriter duos in Germany. With soulful songs like "Timothy Chalamet" and "Hamburg", being the opening act of JEREMIAS or OK KID and with their own live shows they enchant thousands of fans.
The basis for the success of Lena&Linus is the special chemistry between them. What is the secret of their friendship? What do they like about each other and where is the friction and tension in their relationship? Lena&Linus talk about this in the Startrampe COVERED interview.
For the Startrampe COVERED session Lena&Linus chose the song "Skinny Love" by Bon Iver. The song takes them back to their beginnings because without it Lena&Linus wouln’t exist. Both had shared cover versions of "Skinny Love" on their socials at the time, and Lena liked Linus' version so much that messaged him. The rest is history.
The single "Skinny Love" and the debut album "For Emma, Forever Ago" (2008) were the breakthrough for US indie-folk star Bon Iver aka Justin Vernon. The original song and the cover version by Birdy moved millions of music fans and inspired countless musicians - including Lena&Linus. Especially the reduced arrangement and the bittersweet-melancholic lyrics of "Skinny Love" still touch Lena&Linus.
In March 2024 Lena&Linus will present their current EP "Sekundenschlaf" on tour. Maybe they will come to your city and you can listen to the unique harmony song "Skinny Love".
