Mushroom kingdom is more flexible than you think, they can still give us new backgrounds/areas/levels/pure creativity while titling it as Mushroom kingdom and it won’t make a difference. Heck if they changed the flower kingdom to mushroom, we wouldn’t even question it that much it

@@QT_Jeanne I've actually never played Metroid either, but a metroidvania is a genre of 2D gaming with a large interconnected map. They generally have routes that are inaccessible at first that can only be accessed by backtracking after obtaining special abilities like dash/double jump/ground pound/etc. The genre often has a lot of exploration focus and collectibles hidden around the map, plus boss battles at the end of each area that generally give some kind of additional powerup. Very fun games in my opinion. Hollow Knight is a famous example of the genre

I don't think so because they are just visiting the flower kingdom. You can also see the mushroom kingdom in the background at the start of the game
i dont think so. mario odyssey makes you visit quite a lot of kingdoms, yet mario still returns to the mushroom kingdom
I don't think so becuz of opening CUTSCENE where MARIO visits flower kingdom so while mario wonder 2 is will be good mushroom kingdom isn't scrapped
