- Daryl Easlea is the editor for Record Collector magazine, and has had a long history of 45 years in the music business, working in music retail, Universal Music, writing for Record Collector and Mojo Magazine, and working for Motown Records! In January 2024, Record Collector released an entire issue devoted to the solo-career of Paul McCartney, reviewing all his solo & Wings albums, with articles on Paul’s live albums, compilations, his classical music, albums by the Fireman, the music he has composed for children, his career as a musician, and more. There are even contributions to Mike McCartney and Micky Dolenz in this all-comprehensive issue, plus an article with producers that have worked from Paul, including Nigel Godrich and Greg Kurstyn. In our interview with Daryl, we pinpoint specific comments made about some of Paul’s albums, as well as get Daryl’s opinion on certain aspects of Paul’s solo-career. Thank you, Daryl, for this fun and enlightening conversation!

Ken, you've had some great guests over the last few years and Daryl is up there with the best. Knowledgable, thoughtful and considered.....a great easy flowing interview. Thoroughly enjoyable...
Thank you for the compliment! Daryl is a fantastic guest, and hope to have him on the channel again. Love his thoughts and opinions!
I know Daryl through work. Not only a top geezer, but the best pop quiz host in the business.
I could listen to these two men talk for several hours. I consider Chaos, Memory, and NEW a perfect trio of very reflective albums by Paul that are exactly the kinds of albums I want to hear from any artist. I am 100% with Daryl on Back to The Egg, the ballads are something magnificent especially Winter rose/ Love awake.
Thanks for your comments. Daryl's a fantastic guest, and I hope he'll be on my channel more often.
