I highly recommend “A Man’s World Podcast” channel for some wire content. Especially some thought proving and unique takes and analysis on The Wire

I love how you have Kanye West's "Through the Wire" playing in the background

Confusingly titled video. I was looking for a PART 1 of the Wire, not realising the Corner video was that video.

Really nice video. I started with this, but now I'm going to go back and watch your Corner vid and part 3. I haven't seen The Corner since it came out.

@39:00 Bodie actually did snitch. When he was talking to McNulty he said “ im not giving up any Barksdale people, but Marlo him and his kind gots to fall”

I mostly agree, but there was one thing you said that irked me. Referring to Haitian Creole as "broken French" is a bit like referring to AAVE as "broken English." It implies that there's only one "correct" way to speak a language - namely, the White way - and that all other ways of speaking are in need of correction. This is a racist idea.

Hey the pastebin isn’t working but I’d love to see the original article by David Simon. Also great video, you are a very good researcher and presenter.

Thanks for letting me know. The issue is on PasteBin's end, so hopefully it gets fixed soon. I put a direct link to Easy Money in the description.

Ion know if it applies or not…Yet Michael B Jordan’s Wallace (in my opinion) is a motif and an on screen incarnation of Yummy Sandifer, who is somewhat of a slight inspiration towards that character…It could be just me, yet Yummy’s real life situations/ events is exactly paralleled to the character aspects of Wallace….& I find the irony in seeing Wallace murder play out in front of a Tupac poster…& it’s very well known how vocal & outspoken against Tupac was about the murder of Yummy Sandifer

I’ve seen the wire at least 50 times all 5 seasons multiple times… my only issue with the series was Omar working with the cops after Brandon was killed.. like dude you’re robbing them for thousands of dollars what did you expect… I am from uptown manhattan shit don’t work like that… 🤷🏻‍♂️
