- Can you guess the 50 tv shows in this quiz? All tv series began their run in the 90's, some only lasted a few seasons and some are still around today. But all were memorable including one series that only ran for one season, but grew in popularity long after it was cancelled.
You are given 8 seconds to guess the tv show from the image provided, but for most of them this will be plenty of time. the picture quality on some of the images in this quiz is not ideal, but that only adds to the nostalgia.
This quiz will keep you entertained for at least 10 minutes and the length on some of the tv show runs may surprise you.
have fun and good luck.

Where was "Different Strokes", or "Silver Spoons", or "Barney"?
70s
Not only got most of them but remembered a few omissions: Murder, She Wrote; The Fall Guy; China Beach; St Elsewhere; Dallas; LA Law; Knots Landing; Alien Nation; Beauty and the Beast; Mama’s Family.
Spenser For Hire; The Equalizer.
love boat (1977 to 1986)
fantasy island (1977 to 1984)
three's company (1977 to 1984)
wow - spooky 1977 good year for new shows (hmm so maybe outside '80s' if started earlier?)
ok, cheated now - googled
Mork & Mindy (1978 to 1982)
Diff'rent Strokes (1978 to 1985)
(LOL - opps, cringe) Cosby Show - I mean come on - I know, I know - but SO 80s (1984 to 1992)
Happy Days - bit dogy, feels older... (197 to 1984)
M.A.S.H - hmm - same (1972 to 1983)
Taxi, oh so many more...
oh NON USA (except for Blackadder) -
The Young Ones (1982 to 1984)
Only Fools and Horse (deliberately did not watch)
Yes, Minister & Yes, Prime Minister
@@juliaconnell well, and if we’re adding Cosby (agreed, cringe), one should also include Different World.
Married with Children also sits as more of an ‘80s show as anything else. Mr. Belvedere, too.
@@machtmer agree - on all 3 inclusions - thanks ☺
yeah, sure still more left off the list..🙃
what I learned from this is I watched way to much tv in the 80's and today's shows suck
How many people found themselves singing the theme song to the show instead of coming up with the title😂?
I agree where is “Silver Spoons” or “Murder She Wrote” or “The Simpsons”(started 1989 on the Tracey Ullman show) or “Mamas Family”(1983-1990 was a spinoff of Carol Burnett show) or “St. Elsewhere” or “Duck Tales” or “The Fall Guy” or “Fame” or “Small Wonder” or “ ThunderCats”(original) to name a few.
perfect...i had no life apparently in the 80s LOL
100%. I guess that might actually not be something to be proud of. But I was born in 75 so I am the quintessential 80s kid. 5 to 15 so I do come by it honestly. Lol. And if you ask me, they should knock the last year off of Dukes of Hazzard cuz Coy and Vance sucked.
Had a brain fart on Newhart (sorry...didn't mean to rhyme 😣) but got all the others. 80s television was my babysitter. 😂
I missed 3. But 2 I did know but drew a blank on the name. Blackadder is the only one I didn't recognize.
Ah those were the days!
I missed three. Quantum Leap, Fraggle Rock and Blackadder.
Guess I didn’t watch much tv in the 80’s or I’m getting senile😮
I knew all but BlackAdder , i didn't guess 5 in time though.
I missed 2, I'm pretty sure both were on PBS.
I did really well! I missed the sci-fi shows and Remington Steele.
What about my favorite show of all time Sledge Hammer!
@@scottregnerus1184 I got that one even though I didn't watch it frequently. 😊
Good effort, sci fi isn't for everybody
I knew them all, but brainfarted on 5!
This was fun! The only one I didn't get was Blackadder. Heck, I don't think I've ever heard of that show.
Blackadder was a British TV show and I don't think it ran on any national US networks except maybe PBS.
Me too! lol
It has attained a cult status similar to that of Monty Python but within a narrower demographic. I was a Silicon Valley software developer for 20 years, and if you didn’t recognize quotes from it, you were deemed to be one of the Unclean.
Rowan Atkinson. Known more commonly today as Mr Bean. Absolutely hilarious stuff. They ran it on PBS sometimes. Much in the same vein as Faulty Towers, the Young Ones, Monty Python, Are You Being Served...
Dear gods man, start watching! Blackadder consists of 4 series and several extras following the adventures and exploits of the Blackadder family. Each series follows a main character during a historical era.
1st series is in 1485 and does a slight althistory version, as -SOMEONE- just happens to kill Richard the 3rd, oops. It's worth seeing just for seeing Brian Blessed as Richard 4th.
2nd series jumps ahead to the reign of Elizabeth 1st, hilariously portrayed by Miranda Richardson. Also introduces Rik Mayall as Lord Flashheart, which is a treat by itself.
3rd series moves onward to around late 18th century, where the dastardly Blackadder is the butler to the Prince of Wales, the episode with the rotten borough election is all by itself enough reason to watch the season. And Miranda Richardson as a highwayMAN is lovely.
4th series takes place during WWI and pretty much plays off on every trope you can think of about the era. Try googling funny clips, especially from 4th series there's just no end to them. Flashheart returns to steal girls and be obscene. The aide to general Melchett is captain Darling... And like the 1st and 2nd series, ends with all the main characters dying. Though in this case, it's amazingly welldone drama instead of mostly comedy that ends the series as a whole rather than just a season.
Aside from that, there's several extras like Back and forth, timetravel and the Christmas carol.
You absolutely missed something if you haven't seen it. Not everyone LIKES the series, but it's absolutely worth checking out regardless.
Got all of them, but had to pause for about 3 seconds 5 times to remember those 5.
Saw Blackadder in reruns on PBS, I think. Could have sworn there was more than one series of that show.
You are correct about blackadder, each season was based in a different time period. There were 4 series in total
@@quizwise5146 Well damn, I never knew that. Thank you!
Only missed one : Give Me a Break. I swear it was shown in re runs here in Canada and was Nell.
Damn,I missed four. The only one I was totally clueless on was Air Wolf. Air Wolf??? The others I had a momentary brain fart on. Thanks for the great t.v. memories. Keep them coming. Liked and subscibed.
Airwolf was pretty good! I had the honor of working on a film with the guy that worked on the helicopter/design.
Forgot Hardcastle & McCormick, Riptide, Fall Guy, Chips, Amazing Stories. But mainly Hardcastle & McCormick. Really Stephen J Cannell ruled the 80s. I know not all of these are his but he could have his own channel for reruns.
most of this was too easy - _except_ for those shows that did not air in my country (Aotearoa/New Zealand) - so 41/52 - most of these know did not air here, 3 knew I knew, just couldn't remember name- (spoilers - S & S, H to H and H to H) - aware of, never really watched. omg scary how many I knew - I DID get out in the fresh air, I swear. a couple missing...
Got them all right. I was an 80s kid, grew up watching the lot, from 8 to 18 years. I watched to much TV back then, but now it pays off in quizzes. 💕🇦🇺
I got 35 out of the 50. A couple I completely forgot the names for, though i can remember watching them. A lot I didn't get because I dont think they were shown in the UK and i just didn't know them.
I missed two - Punky Brewster and Black Adder (which I never would've gotten in a million years).
Thank You for the quiz, I just realized I watched entirely too much TV. Maybe I don't want to get a new TV and get back into that habit.
What does it say about me that I could sing the theme songs of some of these but didn’t remember watching it and didn’t remember the title? (Small child in the ‘80s)?
There's only 6 I didn't know, or got confused with another show. I think that I did pretty well.
I did miss a few of these, but they were all shows that I never watched, not even one episode (e.g. 21 Jump Street).
I missed 3, 2 of which (Perfect Strangers and Highway to Heaven) I knew but blanked on the names. I also missed Gimme a Break but don't remember that one at all. Was waiting for Riptide and you'd have my entire Thursday night line-up!! This was good!
Fun memories, but if you don’t include Married… with children then it’s just not worth it
I missed a lot of them and kept waiting for Scarecrow and Mrs King to show up.
playing kinda fast and loose with the 80's there aren't you? And ading UK shows? still dead easy.
Somehow, flunking this quiz makes me feel better.
America had a lot of programs I got 16 but then we didn't get half of them here in the UK
Good lord I got all 50! Did I just have absolutely no life back then, lol! ?
I got them all almost immediatly, no thinking about it required.
every one... yes i watched wayyy too much tv growing up...
I missed twelve. I did this same kind of quiz at my local dispensary on an 80's trivia night last year and got 9/10, misidentifying Amen as The Jeffersons.
I missed 16 but to be fair they werent aired in my country
34 - theres lots there they didnt show here when i was a kid and then they didnt repeat them
A lot of American shows that I hadn't heard of
I got all but 2, "Growing Pains" and "Moonlighting."
There was six shows I did not know pretty good.
Got them all right! I am an 80's kid :)
missed 2 even though i knew of those shows ahhhhh!
8 wrong. I don’t feel too bad about that.
Oh man! I forgot the name for Simon and Simon. If not for that, I’d have gotten a perfect score. I recognized it, but couldn’t for the life of me remember the name.
One of my favorite shows when I was a young teen... even named my 2 parakeets after them (Rick and A.J.)!
@@EricaGamet yeah same - plus Hart to Hart - barely remember
32 correct 22 wrong .?
Missed4 of them
Well i got 20 .
I missed 12...
30 out of 50
50 for 50
The majority of the ones I missed it was because I didn't watch them. I was between 4-10 when a lot of these came out. I miss my childhood 😔
Too long ago to remember all the names, but out of the ones that aired here, i'm fairly sure i knew which all but two were.
30
I missed two: Black Adder and Airwolf
I just missed 3 questions!! I did very very good on this quiz!!😊
Born in 84. I've took these quizzes from the 50s and 60s and got more right than this one
funny how that works some times, thanks for watching
