RIP Toyota F1, you guys showed more effort than most, sorry the results couldn't come to you easier.

Their biggest mistake was that they started their F1 operation from scratch. 2nd mistake: They build their facilities in Germany.
They should have bought an existing F1 team with a factory in England. Just like RedBull or Mercedes did.
Toyota Group spend too much in F1 and their board wanted results. So, when results didn't come and the economic recession hit them, they decided to pull the plug.
I hope they learned their lesson and will return as engine manufacturers. F1 needs companies such as Toyota, Ford or VW.

Boulkoume19 up to this point, the FIA regulations are scaring every possible engine supplier away from F1.

The 2009 car was actually pretty competitive. Witness Trulli's pole position AND fastest lap in Bahrein. Sadly that race was stopped due to heavy rain and Button just happened to be in the right place when the race was red flagged. Glock put in a fastest lap in Valencia in 2009.
5 podiums was as many as McLaren had in 2009, and Ferrari only had 6.
With better drivers (Trulli is a great qualifier, that's all) Toyota may have won races too. Had they stayed for 2010, who knows??

I wonder what would have happened, had they stayed for 2010. Could they be constructors champions?

@McLarenMercedes Yes. I agree with you. The drivers were never the best of all. Maybe the mhe massive budget could share some money for having really hot pilots, like Räikkönen,Alonso, or whoever was available, at that time. I mean, where did all the money go after all? By the way, I love toyota. They make the best most reliable cars of the world. I am a happy owner of seventh already!
