Hi! As someone coming from a completely non-traditional background (Hospitality Management), I was wondering whether you have any advice on how one can tackle applying for internships/jobs at MBB or one of the Big Four, etc. I'm currently working on my CV but I can't figure out how to go about things exactly and I thought maybe you would have some tips to help me out! Please reply to this message as I'm a bit desperate haha. Thank you!

    Hi, Management Consulting Prep:
I am currently working in Engineering Consulting Servicing the Oil & Gas industry in Canada (Chemical Engineering background) . I was wondering if you have any advice for relating experiences from technical consulting into management consulting. Since ultimately my goal is to work in management consulting. Thank you very much for your videos!

    About typical structure:
Fin/Accounting is almost pretty the same people. Of course, if the company is big, there are separate department.
Marketing/Sales/Strategy - also. Strategy must be a CEO responsibility. He/she/it is not a Queen Elizabeth and his responsibility is not only initial being :)
    RND - pretty clear.
And you forgot production - basically the most variable part of the company. Somewhere there are programmers, factories, shops, restourants etc. This is the most complicated part in formalization.
    So, what we have:
    FInance
    / ___ Marketing
    CEO ___ R&D
    \ Production
    Thats it :)
    Optional - Layers.

The presenter is obviously correct as production being the same as operations in his context. It’s only jargon🤗 make ones life complicated..
