Dre!!! This is great!! 2 nitros running together, sweet music to my ears! And also a testimonial of how a proper nitro engine will run when PROPERLY TUNED!! Don't change a thing let us hear them run together. Thanks for the video!! Take care!
I have to admit the gas 1s got me into it and then they made $hit brushless. Remember the Clod Buster and Blackfoot from back in the day? A revamp of those trucks would be sweet!
Yes I do remember those! Never had the pleasure of owning one but did want a Clodbuster back in the day. Bringing those back would have me purchasing one quick!
i was thinking about getting just the t maxx 3.3 but seeing this the classic might be the move, i just got into nitro been running the slash for a couple months had some headaches and bought one online used and fixed it. thanks for this vid bro from cali!!
Very nice trucks you got there i just got me my first Traxxas it’s a t maxx i don’t know much about them all i know about this one is that it’s a 2006 short wheel base 3.3 the graphics on the body look very similar to the 2.5 classic.
The video I've been looking for. Trying to decide between the 2 now for my first nitro. I know the T-Maxx is a flawed design, but it's a classic that I need to get my hands on before it's gone.
@dereklatshaw3017 Glad to have helped! They're both great first nitros! The Classic comes with reverse, so if that matters, choose that one. Thanks for watching!
@ thanks! Reverse isn’t a big deal, but I appreciate the reminder. Also going to check out your video comparing the Revo and T-Maxx 3.3. They are all on my radar, all legends, and I definitely want to add 1 to my collection before they end up the fate of the other long running models like the E-Revo/Maxx and Summit.
@@Dre357 I bought a Summit in late 2021 for that reason. I just had a feeling it was going to disappear soon with the scale crawler craze, and it’s a Traxxas legend in my mind too. It’s not for everyone but nobody else ever made anything that can compete. 6 months after I bought it Traxxas axed it. I missed out on the brushless E-Maxx years ago, I need to make amends and I’m ready to change to nitro. The power and simplicity is nice, but I need more soul than an electric motor can provide somedays.
@dereklatshaw3017 great minds think alike! I grabbed a red Summit from a local seller for same reason! I also have a E-Revo VXL 2.0 Black Edition. Two discontinued models. I've been slowly grabbing spare parts for both as I come across them, but lately nitro and gas has been my focus. I won't be surprised if the T-Maxx Classic is the next to go. Considering that the 3.3 version is much more popular.
Im saving up for a tmaxx 3.3 i want the classic too and a revo but man i gotta take it slow. 😂 i have never owned a nitro but they seem very similar to small 2 stroke engines which im familiar with. Been watching a lot of repair and diagnostic videos on them. Excited to try a nitro out. I like my electric for the low noise but want a tmaxx 3.3 cause they seem so exciting to run 🤙 this was a cool video that showed how the 2 compare on power. The original tmaxx seemed really zippy too i was surprised how similar it was in power 💪
Thanks. Glad it helped in any way. You're gonna love the T-Maxx 3.3! The Classic and Revo are amazing as well. I have a few more videos involving all 3 trucks so feel free to check them out. Nothing like the Nitro Gang! 🤙🏿
I fucks with your channel dog this my shit here. What engine you running in that classic? Looked like a 2.5r ive got a classic 2.5 i wonder why they dont come with 2.5r anymore .. you think the 2.5r has a noticeable speed difference from the 2.5 ? Looks like it but i cannot tune my 2.5 my t.5 is all stock tranny carb and engine . Those stock traxxas carbs are terrible man
Thanks! It's the stock engine. I was installed the blue cooling head and the tmaxx 3.3 pipe. It still has the stock carburetor. That carburetor can be difficult to tune, but it can be done. I did notice a slight increase in power after installing the pipe and cooling head. I talked to a Traxxas customer service representative and he told me in today's time the only difference between the 2.5 and 2.5R is the cooling head. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I was attempting to perform a comparison between the two. Both engines were idling at around 200 and I wasn't concerned with wasting fuel, just wanted to keep the engines warm. I left both running so I could quickly switch between both trucks also. Now, if it was running them in the summer, it might've been a different story on temps. I do appreciate your input and thanks for your thoughts. 💯
traxxas will the nitro rc cars and rc trucks be out ever they are not stop make nitro rc cars and rc trucks and they will make the same nitro rc cars and rc trucks.
t maxx 3.3 be out ever and t maxx classic be out ever and they not stop make nitro rc trucks and rc cars be out ever t maxx 3.3 number one and nitro rustler number one and t maxxx classic number one.
Great to see a fellow nitrohead keeping nitro alive. We need to rebuild this hobby and get some dirt tracks going😊
Doing my part 👍🏿
Nitro gang . Electric just don't feel the same I don't get goosebumps from it lol . I've got to hear that engine and smell that nitro
Whats going on my dude! Finally found your channel, happy to see you running them T-Maxxes like me!! Just subbed also, NItroGang!
Thanks @hybrid32494 for the sub! Enjoy your live streams when I catch them. Keep making nitro great again, one day at a time. Nitro Gang! 🤙🏿

You can still buy a clodbuster
Hell yeah! This made me want to pull my old tmaxx 3.3 back out and rebuild it. Miss those shifts
You should! Especially with weather warming up. Thanks for watching!
Man ya gotta love the Tmaxx… I love the classic with those tires. Sweet video dude !
Thanks!
By far the best looking RC trucks to ever come out. Long live Nitro

Very cool 👍
I have the classic 2.5 and the original pro15 hopefully I can get a 3.3 sometime this year.
That's awesome. You have a true classic T-Maxx in your possession!
Yes sir and with the flaming body
@michaelgraham2943 i got one too i think it has the reverse on it.

@@Dre357 the guy at the hobby shop told me the 3.3 pipe would fit in the chasis . So does it fit clean?
@tjgetem3783 yes. If you look at my Tmaxx vs Tmaxx 3.3 video you can see it installed. You do have to cut a small opening for the stinger though.
Why do you leave the other truck running when you are driving the other one? Just wastes fuel and overheating the engine possibly???

Do you have any fifth scales
Other than a Xmaxx and a Outlcast 8s EXB, no. I'm looking to get a Losi DBXL 2.0 or Losi 5ive T in the future though.
