The Legendary Tmaxx. I’ve got a .15, 2.5, & a 3.3
Traxxas literally just has them back in stock & I’ve ordered two.
Can’t wait!
I’m picking one up tomorrow for 150cad fingers crossed he did this when he got it
Make sure the slipper clutch is tight
When breaking mine in and in the middle of tank 4 they disintegrate & the engine went super high revs. Traxxas sent me for free replacement parts, but be careful. Even the Tech on the phone said it happened to his new Tmaxx & Revo
@@williamoleary9330happened to me to I’m 13 I love nitro rc 2 SPEED BABY🥳
I love nitro, electric you name it, if it has a transmitter I'm excited but there's just something special about a real motor.
Yeah. I have two Traxxas electric models, and want to get into nitro. Sounds like a lot of fun!
Hey just a question would the Traxxas T maxx 3.3 be good for a first time nitro car and would it be durable
@@grandmasteryoda8588 I've had two T-Maxx Classics two T-maxx 3.3's and a Revo, my experience with the 3.3 engine's has been very good. The 3.3's were easier to break in and tune then the 2.5's and they run great. I'm by no means an expert on nitro but I do love to run them.
@@Livlifetaistdeth thanks bro I am leaning towards buying a T maxx 3.3 I was gonna buy the Kyosho USA-1 but a lot of people said it’s the same as the foxx so I now am wanting a T maxx
@@grandmasteryoda8588 Anytime, if it helps, but it probably won't, I also have a Kyosho FW06. I have electric cars that'll do 100+mph but when that little Kyosho hits second gear it is an absolute riot! Sorry that probably doesn't help but Kyosho also makes great stuff. The real upside to a Traxxas is parts are everywhere. When I was learning I broke just about everything, wish that was a joke, but that's one of the reasons I ended up with two of the 2.5's and 3.3's haha. Good luck!
You should heat the motor up prior to starting. That being said. This is not how you break in this way. You should let run on the stand. For a couple tanks. And then run it on smooth ground not grass. Never letting it run out of fuel.
NITRO GANG WILL NEVER DIE!
That property looks good man. Glad you are enjoying life by buying new toys. Enjoy
Thought I was the only one who enjoyed the smell of a brand new rc coming out of the box like a batch of fresh baked cookies coming out the oven lol 🤤😏😎 can't wait to get a tmaxx or revo both awesome nitro monster trucks !! Also can you do a review on the kyosho nitro monster truck which is another underrated nitro monster truck
for the first 2 tanks i useually just let it idle on a block giving it some slight revs now and again, its so easy to get carried away when its on the ground and giving it full throttle
There's so much more to it then that. Like so much
@@melancholymartialarts7095 there really isnt no point over complicating it, just let it get upto temp an let it cool down its not rocket science
Just bought this exact same truck can't wait to break it in.
nitro will never die.
I love a pull start....is simple and reliable...
Just picked a new one up. Had one years ago, but sold it. Looking forward to running nitro again 😀.
The only Traxxas brand R/C cars I have are electric. My friend has a Nitro Rustler that he converted to 3.3 instead of 2.5, and it makes me want the T-Maxx very much. The only bad thing of course is the break-in time. Other than that it is an awesome truck. (Plus the two-gear auto transmission is awesome.
brake in time doesn’t even take that long
man you are the best i thank you for the t max review i watched it 20 times my t max will be here tomorrow nov 9 2021 steve brooksville fl
Love the Box Art of all Traxxas Models
Wow I love your property. Look at all those garages❤
and the nitro rustler the bomb.
Wow. Saw this when I just happened to get a new .19 Mach 2 for my slayer. Nice into and break-in. 🇨🇱👍
t maxx 3.3 number one best rc truck ever made.
I have three Tmaxx’s two are the 3.3 and one 2.5. If someone is looking to buy one I would definitely get the 3.3. They are a hundred bucks more but you get a better motor, transmission, servo, brakes, driveshafts, radio, longer chassis and wider better tires and handles better. If you’re on a budget the 2.5 is good but you get a lot more for the money. I would also recommend ditching the AA batteries on board and get a 2s lipo you can run all day and not worry about the AA batteries going dead. I would also stay away from aluminum parts unless it’s a shelf queen go with RPM parts. I run RPM bulk heads but stock a arms cause if I wreck that’s what I want to break first. Also people say the parts are interchangeable and not all are. The 3.3 transmission will bolt in a 2.5 chassis but you have to cut the front center driveshaft and grind away some of the chassis cause the driveshaft is to big around. The 2.5 transmission will bolt in the 3.3 chassis but the front center driveshaft is to short. Also the gearing ratio in the trans are different. The 3.3 has a taller second gear and you can’t run the 58t spur gear on a 2.5 trans unless you get a bigger clutch bell and if you’re running a 2.5 or 3.3 the gearing will be to tall. If you go with the 2.5 ditch the reverse if you can live with out it and do the 3.3 slipper clutch upgrade or better yet get a 3.3 and don’t do Traxxas break in watch Adam Drakes break in video.
traxxas is the best and traxxas is cool and they rock.
t maxx 3.3 number one and t maxx 3.3 is god all rc trucks and rc cars I love traxxas so so so much.
Please do a Video of the Telemetry ?? It is so cool when you can dial in a perfect tune-Watch your Dashboard-- New engine temperature-- MPH
i bought my slayer as a roller, rounded up parts, bought a brand new 3.3 engine, flywheel, clutch shoes, bearings, bell gear, engine mount and hardware. then i bought and old junker OFNA to rob some screws from and somebody had an oldter traxxas tq transmitter and remote on it so i pulled that and servos so i used that. fresh fuel tank, fresh fuel, lines, bought the whole exhaust and piping. now i got a runner all for a total of 500$ another 100$ i coulda just bought a whole new unit
Lmao lol
I really want to get into nitro gang!! Having a motorized road bike is cool but I want an RC. Even a nitro boat for fishing
t maxx 3.3 is number one top selling truck whole tire whole tire world.
t maxx 3.3 number one.
My first nitro was a scale level 5 it was also my second rc car ever
t maxx 3.3 is number one and traxxas is number one.
Is it pretty self explanatory the break in methods? And what about adjusting clutch and any other adjustments.? Can I do that myself or would I need to take it it for someone to tune it for me
Just do your research. There are proper ways to break in and improper. Do some searching there are videos with proper break in. As far as tuning, you can absolutely do it. All it requires is a flat head. You just need to learn which needle does what, and small SMALl increments
t Maxx 3.3 it the bomb.
They both are bad ass mine look like brand new but I need some help with parts thanks again😊
local hobby shop
t maxx 3.3 best rc truck ever made.
Lol 😂
My grandad would love your videos
Just got one putting batterys in now
t Maxx 3.3 is the god and nitro rustler is god.
Wow that's a fast one 💨💨💨🔥🔥🔥
NITRO 4-Ever -- Yeah a lot more than Plug &Go! But now with TRAXXAS App - you make your own tune- Record it at current ambient temperature .Its a blast
Awesome video. Just picked up the exact same one today. They didn’t and don’t carry traxxas fuel so they convinced me to get the vp racing Breakin blend and then a quart of vp racing 20/14 blend. Anyhow. Weather isn’t permitting to run it right now. Been down this road 17 years back and loved it when it ran but hated it when it didn’t. Maybe now I have a better understanding and will have better success. My question is, what tweaking did you do after you broke it in and which needles did you adjust on? I know there’s no set it and forget it. How nice that would be. But I will run towards the rich side just to be safe till I get it down. Anyhow any advice would be very helpful. Thanks.
t maxx 3.3 the god and nitro rustler the god and nitro rustler is number one.
t maxx 3.3 rocks and cool and best.
Thanks for sharing 👍
I love traxxas so much.
I never thought I would se a t max in 2020
nitro is popular with our RC Mud Bog spectators
Right? The 2.5 tmaxx was my first hobby grade nitro and it left such a bad taste in my mouth I almost left the hobby until I got the losi lst back in the day. Hope they fixed alot of the issues I had in the 10+ years. Thing was made out of glass and wouldn't hold a tune lol.
I swore I wouldn't buy another traxxas product after the t-maxx but here I am with an xmaxx, erevo 2.0 and summit. Glad they stepped up their durability and reliability.
@@ZarBinTar honestly it's been over a decade. Just remembered that the engine would never hold a tune and every tumble something broke. That all disappeared when I got my losi lst2 back in the day.
Should a gallon be good for breaking in and driving
I love my t maxx 3.3 so so so much.
Excelent unboxing, thanks for the video!
t maxx 3.3 rc truck rocks.
t Maxx 3.3 number one and nitro rustler number one and t Maxx 3.3 best and rocks and cool and t Maxx 3.3 is the god and king same as the nitro rustler.
I love traxxas so must i carry about traxxas they mean so must to me.
t Maxx 3.3 king.
I don't know if you interested I have the model 4910 I have all the parts or if you know anybody that's interested in let me know I'm not into nitro my friend gave it I'm the electric ones LOL great video by the way
Do the slayer pro 4x4 pleae
t maxx 3.3 number one and rustler vxl number one 1/16 e revo vxl number one and nitro rustler number one there four rc trucks are gods.
Great video! awesome info!!
Aren't you gonna tell the audience that the built-in glow driver in the starter motor doesn't work very well and that they need to get a separate glow plug driver? Other than that, that T-MAXX and the REVO are killers!
t maxx 3.3 rocks.
revo 3.3 not a bad truck.
Im buy my Traxxas Tmaxx 3.3 when they come back in stock. And sell my 2002 Tmaxx Pro .15 model. I also have my Rustler 4x4 VXL and CC-01.
RC Superstore has them in stock. I just ordered one yesterday
Need some more oval vids please! It’s hard to wait a month for a new vid!!!!! Lol just teasing you. I have gotten into oval cause of your vids and use a lot of your advice, I’m starting to learn on spring stiff/soft for getting the car around faster. If you could do a vid in detail on that I would be in your debt! Thanks for what you do for the sport
my next video is oval racing from The Rink
About how long did the full break in take?
I have a question do you have to do all those stuff before you run free time
Hello thanks for video you said you had to adjust your clutch because of slipping mine was fine until the 6th tank mid tank and then the engine revs but car is going slower than it should could that be my problem? I broke mine in the same way you just did but in a school parking lot. Any help is greatly appreciated thank you
after a few tanks I had to adjust the clutch. You can adjust when the 2nd gear kicks in.. or make it so 2nd gear never kicks in. It's a fine adjustment so give it a try
t maxx 3.3 cool.
Hello I am a tmaxx 3.3 owner and I just wanted to sat I blew the engine up by driving it in grass. my rc guy told me not to ride it in grass you will kill it. you can ride it everywhere but grass.
Bones Brew sir. Traxxas fuel no bueno.
Do they still make this? I cant find it anywhere. Always out of stock. I ended up buying kyosho buggy. Its a blast
Last i heard they were on back order. I bought 2 new ones from my local hobby shop this year 2020
Your kyosho buggy is way better trust me. Traxxas and their plastic shit. It's like they are made to break. Their electric is fine but nitro aways a pain. Plastic carb body. Plastic spur gears always gives shit
High end sounded lean to me, not sure though. Not that it matters now, just wandering if anyone else thought the same
Idle seemed high. Plus he needed to richen it up this guy doesn't know what he's doing
Traced is the best
t Maxx 3.3 king all monsters trucks.
Cool!
I love so much I carry about they mean so much to me.
I’m looking too get into my first Nitro but dang Traxxas is very expensive in Canada. So I have too ask how reliable is this truck and how fast once broken in ?
Needs too be tuff and quick for me.
Thanks 🙏 great video I really enjoyed it 👍
T-Maxx and E-Maxx lineup is notoriously fragile (bulkheads and shock towers), so if you want a tough nitro I would consider the Revo 3.3.
@@MauserGT I can’t stand cantilever suspension so I’ll just upgrade the shock towers, don’t think I’d be bashing it too hard
@@bubblesrcshed I have both trucks and the Revo handles better. I thankfully haven't had any breakages on either, but I do drive them fairly tame. The T-Maxx is a much older platform and it shows. The fuel tank, servo layout, and the receiver box all feel noticeably older. I felt like the biggest upgrades in the Revo were the servo guards underneath and the lack of the super long linkages for the throttle servo. The fuel tank is also a lot easier to acess on the Revo. I do like the way the T-Maxx looks way more though
@@MauserGT I want a Tmaxx 3.3 as I love monster trucks and I’d like a Slash too. But all dreams right now for me times are tuff so no fun bucks
This is the wrong way to break in an engine. Always do it on flat level ground not in the grass wheel over heat the engine to quick.
Absolutely. Doesn't preheat the engine. No temp gun. On grass. Dude has no idea what he's doing
t maxxx 3.3 best rc truck ever made and rustler vxl and best truck ever made 1/16 e revo vxl best rc truck ever made and nitro rustler best rc truck ever made.
is the tmaxx still shipping??????out of stock??
yeah you can buy it from different shops i bought mine 2 days ago from a french rc shop
sorry for my bad english i'm german
Better gets skid plates and a roll cage
How do you shut it off if the cover is on
Plug the exhaust tip with your finger
How long does it take to run a tank of gas
20-25 minutes
t Maxx 3.3 be out forever and nitro rustler be out forever.
The low speed needle sound to lean

You have absolutely no idea what you're doing. That's not how you break it in. Cmon man
Your voice sounds just like Project Farm's
I hate the revo 3.3 so so so much.
Traxxas break in method is probably the worst way to break in a motor
Totally agree, I use the botajell way or the Adam drake way
revo 3.3 not a good truck it a this is bad.
revo 3.3 do not like revo 3.3 the revo 3.3 sucks.
revo 3.3 trash the need to stop make the revo 3.3 it junk.
Junk
Your lame
I’ve owned a savage 3.5, an XL 5.9 & a savage flux I fancy a change, would I be disappointed in a T-Maxx 3.3?
