@@Shadowrulzalways I really have to dive into this new DC continuity because there seems to be a ton of fanwank in it, but from what I hear, yeah past being canon seems to be more of a case of establishing past characters, not saying they're all one super being especially when you consider multiple of those characters are established to be different Supermen and characters (since they've encountered each other).

I had already started to respect the man of steel way more than I used to as a kid, but this is something else. I am pleasantly surprised at the ridiculous level of power and how badass the guy is, like he is STRONG and he knows it.

Superman's best stories are when he's just too powerful to lose because he needs to save his friends or everybody he cares about. The Sixth Dimension and Up in the Sky are two of the best stories written about Superman. He's inspirational, he won't even sink to his knees until the job is finished

People hate him because they know he is better than their favorite character but can’t quite convince themselves of it
Probably because they want a story with suspenseful events. When a character is that overpowered and there is literally no way he loses the story becomes more predictible and boring.
This is why a story like One Punch Man got so popular in recent years. It's kinda the exact same tale as Superman in terms of strength as the guy is literally too strong to lose or be affected by anything. However, that causes the character to get depressed by his own strength as there is no more challenge for him and his life became boring. I feel like that is a really cool take on the concept of superpower.
Now back to Superman, if he defeats every enemy without fail the story would get pretty boring quickly as people would know exactly what to expect. "Let a good guy be good" is definitely a nice mindset to have but it can be achieved in more ways than showing absolute power. There is also mental power, which of course Superman has as well but that's when the line is crossed and maybe the character becomes "too perfect".
That is also why in more recent years people have been so fascinated by the idea of an evil Superman. The story of Injustice is a great example of that as well as shows like Invincible or The Boys that have gained crazy popular and especially their main Superman-like character. People are right to believe that a character that strong cannot be perfect, it only makes sense, it's more realistic.
And of course due to this rise in Evil Superman stories and stuff like the sad situation of the failed DCEU, people have started feeling that they had their fill of the "evil" or "realistic" Superman trope and want to go back to how it was before when Superman was just a cartoonishly strong character that was all about being good and doing the right thing, overcoming all evil. I can totally see where this is coming from but at the end of the day it can also get boring quickly. And of course, there were always Superman stories that liked subverting expectations, just look at the original Death of Superman, which has become a classic in Superman's history. The reason it became so popular is because of how unique it was and how it challenged the very idea of the invincible hero. This is something readers and audiences always found more intriguing than the generic Superman tropes, the same audiences that love seeing Batman, the "mortal man" defeat the "Invincible god" on the big screen.
At this point, it's pretty clear what I'm trying to say and it can be summarized in one sentence... People find it boring when there are no stakes or challenges for a character, they want to see a more real character arc that they can relate too, a more traditional Hero's Journey.

I found evidence that the cosmology of DC is way bigger. In Countdown: Arena Vol 1, there is a version of Superman known as Christoper Kent from Earth-16 who never stopped using Torquasm. And since this version has never stopped using Torquasm, he gained a lot new abilities, including the ability to perceive all 14 Dimensions of Existence. That’s right, the entirety of DC consists of 14 Dimensions. That’s insane!

Hey big fan of the channel so here is my thoughts on the upcoming death battle in my opinion of the third match i think its closer than people give it credit for since they are using heroes goku he is way way way stronger than the canon version of goku basically one shot everone in db including zeno and he has insane amount of hax its gonna be hard to name them all but basically ben singer confirmed they are using cc goku and why is that important its because cc goku basically beat this version of goku who people think is the strongest which is xeno goku at his strongest ssj4 form in one punch just by tapping into mui why is that very impressive will xeno gokus base form at his highest cant be scaled to lowest to complex multiversal amd hightest at outerversal depending on how u scale him by being able to beat demigra in base form alone the same demigra that was threat to all of space and time and transcends them and was going to destroy the infinite multivers and timelines that exist in dragon ball heroes including beats world which scales above all of it and views as a video game and xeno goku at his strongest is 1000s possible millions of times stronger than this base xeno goku who did this feat while not even trying and cc goku after this was able to stalemate this goku in ssj4 using blue and after both growing way stronger after multiple arcs cc goku was finally able to beat this goku in his ssj4 limit breaker form which is him basically him abosrbing god ki from cc goku and vegeta inorder to fight dark janemba and by this time xeno goku transends dimensions and stuff and mui goku one shot him so yeah db heroes cosmology gets nuts and basically the normal dragon ball cosmology who some have made even for that arguments for outerversal but we wont get into that since those ones are usually controversial among the dragon ball scaling community i learned all this from a youtuber named kazi and official divine and ssjru who scaled db cosmolgy on his channel anyways pretty excited for next battle i dont always agree with death battles scaling but there animations and fights are always a good time so cant wait for gvs3 since that sneak peak was fire

You already have it right, those are all the main line supermen, infinite frontier technicallly isn’t a seperate continuity from rebirth it’s just a continuation of it and just a way of dc to brand the idea that all the effects of the crisis event got undone and all the previous continuities history got merged into one in death metal
