Nice tutorial , however the remote of our community gate even-though looks similar and same frequency as in your video but does not have the pins to adjust to program , how can program it ?
Do the switches match the delta 3 garage door receiver? Not sure if i knocked a switch when I replaced the battery. Want to know before i buy a ladder to check receiver.
Nice video but one major concern is not mentioned. If you are installing a new garage door keypad for a Linear unit that comes with a battery. You must first open the battery comparment and remove the clear seal and then connect the battery. It does not come connected even though the battery is in place.
What if my code has a pound (#) sign as part of the code? For security the gate code is getting changed every 6 months and I am having an issue reprogramming the remote.
I have a linear multi code model 308911. My code is 4 numbers but one number is repeated, so I only switch on 3 numbers. I don’t seem to know how to program it. I aim it at the “transmitter” garage door . But nothing happens. HELP.
@@getitdonehomerepair I set the pins to match the code For the garage door. And followed the instructions. “Press the learn button then go in front of the door and press and hold the new transmitter until the lite blinks on the overhead door opener.” Still nothing. Help
Yes if it the same remote as in the video you will need to open the gate cover and see how the little slide pins are moved either up or down and just duplicate it in your remote.
Hello, my remote control is broken but I do not know the frequency There is no indication on it) : Here are the info that I have: Digital emetteur DT/B. Part Number DNT00043. LInear corporation CARLSBAD, CA 92009 USA RTT/D/X0266 P/N 205828. I bought a new remote control but it seems that the frequency is not good (310 MHz : DNT00017A model DT-2A). Ca you help me ? Thanks a lot, Marie
@@mariekreusch3220 You need to look up DNT00043 receiver. It should indicate which remote is compatible with it. The remotes you bought are the wrong frequency. Good luck.
I did try to find some with dnt00043 (on amazone and widely on internet) but i can’t find any. I think that i will send an e-mail to the company « linear » if they can help me.
Fabulous explanation 👌 very clear. Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Super clear and to the point, thank you!
Cool Jim! Old Garage Door openers were like that!
Hi I have a question ... what about if 1 of the remotes has 8 digits and the new one has 10 digits?
@@KARINAIVETTE100 I would use the first 8 switched the same as the old one. If it does not work then set them all back and try the last 8 switches.
@@KARINAIVETTE100 Set the last 2 digits to the off position.
Thanks guy!

My remote is a 318 mhz, and it is a MT-1B, when I open it up there is no switches to change coding. Now what do I do?
Maybe it's to a learn. Button on main control

Excellent. Helpful. Thanks.
You know it's a good community when the community has Lamborghini doors for your gate

Good point!
I have lost my old remote and bought a new one. How can I know the right combination of pins please?
Thank you very much 🙏
You will need to go to the main unit and see what position the pins are in (on or off )
Thank you for the help!
I'm happy to help.
Thank you very much sir.
Most welcome
Is it possible to change the code? For example if someone stole one of my remotes
Yes the code can be changed. You will need to change bother the transmitter and the opener codes.

Can these remotes be used to program the buttons in cars for garage doors/gates?
No this can not be used to program the car remotes.thanks for watching.
How do I program to second remote from the first remote if when you pull the back off and there are no sliding pins?
You need to buy a remote that doesn't have dip switches. The remote that you have doesn't use dip switches, it should have a programing button.
My opener has two blocks with buttons to push down , is there not a way to tell us how to do it without having two remotes
Are they the same sequence?

Did this, put in a new battery and it still does not work. Any ideas?
Was it working before you put in the battery?
Do I have to use pins? I have a remote without pins
Is it the same frequency (MKZ)
Did everything correctly I am able open my rear gate, but doesn’t work to open front gate. Any suggestions?
You may want to check the pins again to make sure that they match the front gate
@Get It Done Home Repair I may have bought the wrong type 310mhz remote for my particular gate?
What if my replacement is still 10 but looks like tabs not pins?
As long as it is the same frequency it should work . Was it the same brand
@@getitdonehomerepair It was just a different type of switch. Worked great. My coworkers think I’m a genius!
Woo fancy gated community lol. Has anyone ever told you that you look and sound like a mechanic named Jimthecarguy on RUclips.
But how do you pair the remote to the gate for the first time?
Yes if it the same remote as in the video you will need to open the gate cover and see how the little slide pins are moved either up or down and just duplicate it in your remote.
