Thanks so much for remembering Tiny Tim. I remember him when i was a young girl; He was on Johnny Carson a great deal and I remember when he married his 1st wife on live TV. He was always a very charming, sweet man who treated everyone with respect. That is why he stayed and played for those who took the time to wait, even if it was just a couple of folks. God bless his memory. He was the best of the original performers. You don't see that anymore.
I had the pleasure of interviewing "Tiny" for a radio show I hosted a couple of years prior to his death. Very humble man, whom I admired. Rest in peace, Herbert. Safe travels, Jordan.
I was lucky to meet Tiny Tim in a hotel elevator making his way to his show. My girlfriend and I were just trying to get to the roof of the only big building in Torrance Ca. He was quite large and literally the most gentle man I have ever met. He kindly gave us a table stage side for the show even though we were under age for the venue. Good show too. I liked him.
I said hello to Tiny Tim at the MSP airport back in the 70’s and thanked him for his entertainment. He was very shy and averted his eyes, but was polite and smiled.
Tiny Tim came to Niantic, CT to open a new bridge to Waterford, CT! He sang for everyone and talked to us, I was so happy to meet him! He stayed with all of us for the whole day. RIP Tiny Tim.
I love Niantic!! I lived in New London for 2 years & would go to Niantic quite a bit! I wonder what the connection was for Tiny Tim? I loved watching him when I was little! Glad you got to have a great day with him!
I remember him popping up on different shows back then. He was definitely a stand out for the times. Thank you for the very interesting history of his life.
Thank very much for this. I really appreciate it. Tiny Tim was so unusual, I think he was some kind of genius. It’s nearly impossible to be as utterly distinctive as he was. Your recounting of the story of his life was excellent.
I grew up in Rochester MN. One day in the 80's at the local mall I hear someone yell "HI TINY TIM!", I look over and Tiny Tim turns around and waves and then continues walking his way. It wasn't until years later I read he lived in Minnesota. And that's my Tiny Tim story.
I saw Tiny Tim open for the Crash Test Dummies in 1996. Two weeks later, he passed away. It was such a sad feeling to see him live, and then he was gone.
I saw Tiny Tim do a live show in Cleveland in the mid-80's, most people were there for the spectacle but The Man did the show like a true professional and sure won the crowd over. They roared like a lion at the end.
thanks jordan, I met tiny tim with jerry mathers back in the early 90s, sad to say I had no idea who tiny tim was but he signed a black and white photo of himself and was very polite, I distinctly remember his hair and he sang my name,I have been singing tiptoe through the tulips to my cat all day…
Tim was on a tour I did, think his last. He would end his set with a fiery version of Heartbreak Hotel... no one expected it. A true gentleman, very smart.
May I just say, Lakewood is simply breath-taking!!! I just loved Tiny Tim!!! Thanks again Jordan...WE LOVE YOU!!!! Until next time, always stay safe and enjoy your week!!! Hugs to your BEAUTIFUL KATIE GIRL, AND PRECIOUS JAH ALWAYS!!!
HI JORDON ,, I HOPE YOUR LITTLE PUP IS HAPPY HEALTHY;,, I MEET TINY TIM AT SPOOKY WORLD IN MASS. HE WAS A GREAT GUY!!! THE NIGHT HE DIED HE TOLD HIS WIFE HE DIDNT FEEL GOOD AND SHE SAID TAKE A REST TONIGHT AND LIKE YOU SAID HE DIDNT WANT TOO.. HE IS BURIED WITH HIS UKULELE.. THANKS...
I was a paramedic that night in Minneapolis for Hennepin County and easily could have been dispatched to that call. Crazy to think that. Talked with the paramedic crew later that night....
THANK YOU!! That was very interesting. I know tiny Tim but I didn't know very many details of his life or death. You handled the story so well, very detailed and you gave him a voice! Great job!!!
Thank you Jordan, I remember Mr. Tiny Tim from the late 60's & then from the hanful of times I still would catch him on a show like you mentioned such as the tonight show I do recall reading how his life & career unfortunately ended sadly but it's also good to hear that he was a good person, you know it's crazy but when we read or watch these kinds of stories it doesn't surprise me to hear good things about them.thanks again & take care.
A name I have not heard in a long time. I do remember Tiny Tim even though I was grade school age. I NEVER made fun of him, even though others did. I was a special kid myself is why I would NEVER poke fun at anyone who was " Different ". My older brother Tim liked him and thought he was Funny. I do remember seeing Tiny Tim on Johnny Carson. Nice job on this one, Thank you, Jordan ! 😊
Thank you Jordan for all the great information on Tiny Tim! I remember watching him in the late sixties as a kid. He was on a lot of variety shows back then. Howard Stern must have like him to invite him over and over! I remember Howard had his first wife on his show shortly after Tiny Tim passed. Great job!👏 😊❤
Thanks Jordan for all you taught me about Tiny Tim. You told a lot about him and I am always interested in learning new things. Who knew about Tim, I didn't till now.
No she's not. This is wrong information that is around in internet. The woman in the video is not Suzan Gardner, is his second Wife, that already died probably in 2013. Ms Sue is still alive and married again.
I was going to ask you or someone to do Tiny Tim. Don’t know why I’m interested in him but I am glad you did this. Did not mean that. I do remember “tiptoe through the tulips”. He was such a one off but such an interesting man.
Interesting to hear about his life & how he got started. Just hearing how the band leader treated him on his last day of life said to me that this is how he was treated most of his life. There were alot of people who loved him and he did stay true to himself & his faith throughout his lifetime. RIP Tiny Tim.
I loved Tiptoe through the tulips...And l couldn't believe he was the singer at first. Thank you Jordan, having Happy memories dancing silly with my mum. (She would have been 102) she passed in 97.
I met him once about 1992 on a flight to Fayetteville AR to Memphis,Tn. I was the Flight Attendant. He carried his ukulele on without a case and put it in the floor in front of him. I put it instead in the overhead bin where I kept my pilliows.
I remember when I was very young in the early 70s and my class was on a field trip at an airport. We were all standing near a fence where the planes parked and people unboarded the plane.. then I heard the teacher say "Is that Tiny Tim? It is!" Kids...you can go home and tell your parents you saw Tiny Tim! I had no clue who he was, just have the memory of a tall, slender man with long, brown, curly hair walking into an airport terminal.
Years ago I saw Tiny Tim when he was the Ringmaster with a one ring circus that came to town...What was so funny about the performers of this circus, they would take turns doing different acts and changed their names for each act...I remember watching Johnny Carson show when Tim and Miss Vicky got married...Johnny at the time was doing his show out of New York City....
He was a real gift from God ❤ he loved music 🎶 and his fans so much that he did what you loved 😍 most was music 🎶 bring that to people he cared deeply for. A real treasure and wonderful person 💖
I remember him all over TV when I was growing up but never knew much about his life. When he got married on The Tonight Show it was a huge deal! Thanks for telling his story.
I met Tiny Tim in 1986 at a circus in Pennsylvania. He signed an autograph picture for me. He was very nice but after the circus was over, I was walking outside of the tent and he kept following me. Had no idea what he wanted haha but he scared me so I ran home. I had my two year old son with me. Today, my son loves to tell that story, although most of his friends have no idea who he is.
I have a picture and autograph that my mom give to me she got it from him on a dinner cruse he was doing in west palm beach she said he was so appreciative and humbled that she wanted his autograph it almost made her cry not long after that he passed away
I hope Tiny Tim rests in peace. Thank you for telling his story. Some of the things I never heard. Nice to see Jah. You and Jah travel safely and take care.
We have tons of local celebrities here in the Twin Cities. Lakewood Cemetery has them all buried there. Minnesota Twins owner Carl Polhad, former Vice President Hubert Humphrey and U.S. Senator Paul Wellstone.
I can see Rudy Valle in him. Never thought about it before Jordan. Thank u! When I graduated from 8th grade we were given a choice of being taken to Chicago to see Tiny Tim or going to the great department store Marshall Fields and we chose the latter.
Thank you for this. My folks picked him up hitchhiking on our way back from Canada when I was a kid.. they dropped him of at the next off ramp because he smelled…
If you get the chance, you should check out the Lakewood Cemetery Chapel. The interior is incredible. The dome is completely covered in mosaic. It truly is on par with any Renaissance chapel in Italy.
Tiny tim was on rowan and martins laugh in he was funny i liked his song tip toe through the tulips 🌷 he was a novelty act nice resting place for him good vlog jordan
As a kid I thought he was crazy. Now that I'm grown up, I realize it was mostly a character he created. Like Marilyn Monroe, she created this dizzy blonde act she'd do in public, and it did work for her. She became a house hold name. Now I'm sure she was far more intelligent than she seemed. As a kid you don't realize all that. Anyway I see Tiny Tim in a different light now. I bet he was a great guy.

Much respect for Tiny Tim for standing up for Christ!

Just a great tribute to Tiny Tim Jordan. He was a unique character. Such a gentle soul.

My grandparents are buried at Lakewood too. It’s a gorgeous cemetery. I will have to go visit Tiny Tim next time. Thanks for the great video today.
I met him once and he was super nice. Even sang to me. So glad to see his resting place. Thank you...❤
I remember him popping up on different shows back then.
It is comforting to know that such a lovely man is "resting" in such beautiful surroundings. Thank you, Jordan, for this touching tribute.

He also had quite a lot of knowledge of early recording artists, older sheet music, and styles of music.
A former band mate of mine played keyboards for him. He had some great stories.
I had no idea he passed away so long ago. I was watching some interviews with him recently and I thought maybe he was still alive.

Hid doctor told him to stop performing and rest at home but he didn't listen.
I have very serious health problems and don't believe in pain medicine. This musical artist heals me daily.
My husband and I watched Johnny Carson every night after he got home from second shift at the auto plant and we saw him get married.
Seen him on WWF Raw, called Jerry Lawler the Dairy Queen, then got his ukulele broken by Jerry.
I lived 1 block from him in the 80's- 90s🙏🏽
