Normal pati milega Jo pyaar karega, thoda dhyaan rakhega, parents ke sath decent relation rahegi, Jo maarega nahi to khushnaseeb samajh lena khud ko. Mere colleagues ko to apni patni ki sirf favourite food aur colour pata hai. Uspe hi gift de dete hai. Warna jyada kuch nahi pata unhe. Their life is good. Shaadi stable hai, bacche hai etc.

Sang Zhi has received abundant amount of loves from almost everyone around her, especially her loving family. It’s nice to see that even with such upbringing and love, she didn’t turn into spoiled brat but turn into such a beautiful lady. Even to the point she wants to ‘sponsor’ Duan Jiaxu 😂 but yeahh, i love how her love for Duan Jiaxu is always so pure. You can also see the happiness in Jiaxu eyes to know that he deserves love too. Ahh I hope they will be guest cameo on Sang Yan story later and pls i hope Victor Ma will play Sang Yan again 😭
when i started hidden love i was SO worried they wouldn’t handle the initial premise of him knowing her when she was younger and the age gap thing properly but they did it SO well there was absolutely nothing predatory about it. it felt natural, like after those years jiaxu realized what a beautiful person she had grown into both inside and out and he felt cared for. the acting was great too chen zheyuan and zhao lusi brought those characters to LIFE and the rest of the ensemble was great as well
Usually in these kinds of tropes they never show the older person question their feelings for the younger one before acting on them so I'm so glad the writers made DJX self-aware of the fact that not only is he older, but he literally watched her grow up and re-evaluated his feelings for her before pursuing her. I also appreciated how they made it very clear that he never had any romantic feelings toward her the whole time until she became an adult, everything while she was a minor was strictly platonic. Plus, the way Sangzhi's brother reacted after finding out they were dating was also completely valid and he only approved of their relationship after confirming with DJX that he was serious about her... this is unlike most dramas that will just have other characters around them accept it like it's totally normal. They handled everything very well and, like you said, nothing felt predatory about it probably also because both characters are walking green flags too.
The greenest couple in dramaland ever and this is coming from me, a fan of kdrama, thai drama, jdrama and cdrama. I've watched a lot of drama and Sangzhi-Jiaxu's way of love is so wholesome, romantic, exciting and healthy. They communicated well, they make an effort to spend some quality times together, they both worked hard to achieve their dreams so that they can provide for each other, no age and gender discrimination. Sangzhi is willing to share the financial burden with Jiaxu (he didn't let her though. He wanted to pamper her) and Jiaxu could cry anytime he wanted since Sangzhi has always been standing by his side.

He stalks, he controls, and at some point, when she has a row with her best friend, he even tells her he wants to be her everything and if it was only him in her life he would never let her cry. That's a big red flag in real life.

This drama is a perfect example of love stories don't need obsessive lovers creating differences, parents breaking them apart, toxic guy driving d girl away n regretting later or confused girl hurting the guy. Simple storyline wid cute pair n wonderful chemistry!! Loved every bit of it. ❤❤
Hidden Love was such a great series, and the chemistry between not only the two romantic leads, but also the chemistry between the two leads and the actors playing the "brother" and "friends" was AMAZING and actually felt real. I would ABSOLUTELY love to see those actors together again in another series. Literally, they felt like real life family and friends, and they played a big part in the success of the show. just finished hidden love and im going to rewatch for a lot of times. i have never watched a romance drama this good for years and has set my standards so high. from the plot, the cast the script and the scenes. zhao lusi and chen zheyuan's chemistry was top notch. their love story just felt so natural and so sincere that it didnt need any dramatic or unnecessary scenes of some sort. we saw how wonderful their relationship grew. from how she just innocently cares for him to when he started to realize he likes her. it's healing. it's emotional. it's warm. their support and how they protect each other is just too precious. i cant put to words how healthy and precious their relationship is. the way i had to pause their cute scenes to fangirl and then rewind and sometimes i just be so "annoyed" because i want what they have lol T_T

This is the most beautiful Chinese drama I ever watched. Not the most creative plot, but the feel good factor I get from it everytime I watch it is amazing. Still, the real age difference is a bit confusing. They say it's 6 years, but then she says he was 22 when she met him at the age of 14. That would make their age difference 8, but he was still an undergraduate, so he should around 20. Anyway, that doesn't really matter. This will be forever my "feel good" series. They equally love, support and respect each other and share good values and beautiful feelings.

This is the most beautiful Chinese drama I ever watched. Not the most creative plot, but the feel good factor I get from it everytime I watch it is amazing. Still, the real age difference is a bit confusing. They say it's 6 years, but then she says he was 22 when she met him at the age of 14. That would make their age difference 8, but he was still an undergraduate, so he should around 20. Anyway, that doesn't really matter. This will be forever my "feel good" series. They equally love, support and respect each other and share good values and beautiful feelings.
