Hmmmm..... There are few of problems that I am having with this method of producing electricity by burning household rubbish. 1)Household rubbish contains lot of material that would produce enormous amounts of toxic gas when they are incinerated. I doubt this household rubbish get sorted before they incinerate them. The environmental impact of burning rubbish as oppose to burning fossil fuel like coal or diesel is a concern. We live in a world already we are having trouble with conventional fossil fuels like coal and petroleum. 2)How energy effective burning rubbish is as oppose to the cost of the electricity generation using this method. 3)How does this compare with alternative "green" power generation methods like wind, solar, geothermal, sea waves, etc etc 4)Are there any more efficient ways of recycling household(and industrial) rubbish than burning them to produce electricity? I am bit skeptical about this electricity generation method. From the outset it looks like a decent, green power generation method. However, comparing that with other alternative power generation methods mentioned above(and other methods that is not mentioned) it is arguable about the effectiveness(and the environmental impact) of this electricity generation method.
In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia complete city cleaning & waste removeing doing by British company (BFI) where majority of workers of SRILANKANS. In every roads they place huge containers one per every 50 meters and replace soon after it nearing full & immediately dispatch them to the power plant facility. We should follow the same. Thanks a lot.
