  • A people apart living on the fringes of society.
Joseph MacAnthony describes the Travelling community as “a people apart” who are “living on the fringes of our society”. Travellers talk about the changes in their way of life and the work they do, from collecting tin and trading horses, to seasonal agricultural work.
Henry Maxwell, a north county Dublin farmer, talks about employing travellers to do agricultural work on a piece-work basis.
