Along with reducing the gore in the later Thrill Drive games, the horror was toned down as well. We go from terrified scream, a picture of someone screaming at us through a window and then straight into some dark brooding music. To a guy or a woman's slightly annoyed sounding scream and what sounds like the type of music that plays when you either on the last lap, or you're running out of time. Never understood why.
Also looks like they tried to reduce the 'gore' every subsequent series, most noticibly the drivers inside the car. Thrill Drive 1 with low violence mode off had them bust though the windshield and lunge toward the hood of the car, as if they din't have their seatbelts on. Thrill Drive 2 had them just leaning on the steering wheel. Thrill Drive 3 drivers doesn't seem to react to the crashes at all.
The driver of the convertible in Thrill Drive 3 does have a crash animation, but it only looks like he's ducking down towards the steering wheel to avoid hitting his head on the road. It's hard to see because the camera and the car move around spontaneously.
Thrill drive everything normal except theres a win condition where driving safely and normally has you win the race, as the other racers all got catapulted out of there windshields after hitting a stationary train at 2mph
The female scream in the English version of Thrill Drive 3 sound more like an elephant.
True
"Fatality"
And the male one sounds like an anime protagonist
0:06 That cop straight up opened the door while the car is crashing towards it, madman.

These crash scenes were definitely made to scare the hell out of the player and leave a lasting impression about speeding/racing and unsafe driving.

*suddenly crashed*
It's funny, it's creepy material, but is a good PSA on reckless driving.

Imagine if the gameover screen is the same as the game over screen of Hong Kong 97. Dude it will definitely screw the minds of the gamer big time.
