Lovely video, amazing aircraft - hope it will be at OSH this year...... What kind of fuel flow do you see at cruise?

Thank you! We don't have OSH on our radar this year, but will be sharing our 2024 schedule shortly. The fuel burn is nearly 40 GPH at take-off. It will burn 30 GPH at cruise at altitudes below 5K and 17.5 GPH @ 17,500 & 92% Power setting.

Thank you very much. I had so much fun flying with the Gamebird in this video. Hopefully we can get a pair of Sonex Jets next time.

Can you get an honest one hr of endurance at a conservative setting ?

Hello Roger, This is a question that I get asked a lot. The truth is that under high power settings, it will run out of fuel in about an hour. However under cross country flights at 17,500 feet and 92% power, you can get 90 min range plus 30 min reserve and travel around 250nm. I have flown this aircraft coast to coast in a day. If you are flying around at low power settings and low altitudes, it is possible to fly an hour with 30 min reserve, but just barely.

that is amazing @@microjetpilot8025 can you share the breakdown of your coast to coast trip? (Number of stops etc..) 😊

@@thierryilboudo5648 I averaged 10-15 knots of headwind on this particular trip. It required 8 stops and there were several things that factored in to this. Flying on a Sunday and a holiday weekend limits the full serve places that you can stop for fuel. There aren't as many self serve Jet A fuel pumps, but they are out there. Some of my stops were short and slightly out of the way for these reasons. The longest leg was 304NM and this was only possible with 10 knots of tailwind, otherwise you flightplan for 230-250nm trips. It is my belief that I could have done this trip in 7 stops with better weather, less wind and planning the flight during the week.

@@microjetpilot8025 thank you so much for that info I appreciate it 🙏🏾. I am getting the tail kit next month (the hardest step is the first one). 😄. Please keep posting more videos it is good motivation for me!
