To address the whole eye close closing discussion: I typically close my eyes because when you are that close to people, it's strange to make eye contact. It can be very distracting while singing. Instead of being a noob and staring at my hands, I just close my eyes. I can't be sure, but Tim might be doing the same thing.
One example I always like is how it describes a helicopter in the book of revelations. Or you can just compare how it describes how in the last days there will be tons more natural disasters, and the chain of events it describes has already half come true.
i would pay like all my cash, get cash from the bank, about a million... ill pay that back to the bank later when tims playing in my home my life is completed :O

It's just easier to say "Bob did it." than give a detailed explaination, so they just changed Bob to a being that no one ever saw, heard, smelled, touched, or knew about in an effort for people to believe them.
