Thomas I concur with your statements! I is not possible to learn all of P6 in 10 minutes. That is a joke. Of course Oracle will try and sell it that it is that easy. If it was more people would be proficient with it than there currently is. Setting up a schedule is P6 is completely different than mastering all of P6!!

Believe Volantic is claiming the learning curve is 10 min, not Oracle. I've never used this sw but I'm guessing an excel spreadsheet is powerful enough for the intended market. Hide the guts/data behind some colorful buttons and you've made the sw appealing. Suddenly a market of companies that employ a whopping 10-15 people that have simple products or processes using the buzz words you'd hear in a high tech manufacturing setting. Like shooting fish in a barrel for consultants!
Mitch, this is the premiere software when it comes to scheduling. Compared to an Excel spreadsheet, this software takes 50% of the time and 10% of the effort. And the U.S. Govt. almost absolutely requires its contractors to use scheduling software (usually MSP)
SW for this type of work simply accesses data tables (like a spread sheet) and adjusts per constraints(like a formula) which is presented to the user as a result based on changes made. As for the government targeting this specific product as a "the scheduling tool" of choice, not a chance.
The soundtrack is extremely distracting and unnecessary. It should fade out in the first minute so that the viewer can focus on the information. Terrible! why do add this noisy background.
I remember when I was heavily using Primavera in Dubai. It's a very powerful tool for Project Management!

Yes, I think it is the best scheduling software out there. It calculates the critical path which is a challenge with other software.
I love the background music; but I can see why it irritates some. :)
