I just purchased the agravic ultras and Tecton x3's, nearly broke my ankle with the agravics due to the rocker, tectons are next level and my new go to. i have never given salomon a go, maybe next time
Big fan of the OG Ultraglide here! This looks very exciting, I'm always up for some new S/Lab. Too bad we have to wait so long for it though, and 250$ is pretty steep😢
$250 for no plate insane considering what the shoe is. You can get a super foam with some sort of EVA carrier type of a midsole from $150-$180 now. That being said it looks super cool and I want to try it 😂
Do you think they would also be good for a non professional trail runner, that is looking for a softer trail shoe? I want to run races too, but ofc mainly just for fun and on not so technical terrain. Are these shoes best for race day only or also suitable for normal training runs?
Hello Taylor, i love the ultra glide 2 but only in wide size, now they are out of stock in Europe. How is the fit of this new slab UG, it's ok for wide feet??
Thanks for reply. That sounds waaaaay too heavy for a supposed race shoe, eg SLAB Pulsar 3 is 205g in the sample size. Obviously quite a bit more foam in this, but even so......... In my size 11/46 then probably about 340g, which is heavier than all my trail workhorse trainers
@@julienjonathan3335 Not saying a plate is needed, though I don't agree with your assessment, they often needed to stabilize soft foamed shoes. Point being, plates add cost to a shoe helping to justify this new wildly high prices. This shoe has neither a plate nor the more expensive premium foams, so I'm not seeing the justification of this $250 price tag.
2 trail reviews in 1 day let’s go!

That price is just too high!
What was the feedback from those who run with these shoes in UTMB?

Different terrain racer I feel like carbon plates gives response that is better traded for cushion in overall trail. I agree with you but a thought.
Thanks Taylor ❤
Can’t wait

Deifinitely! They can be used for both, for sure.
A good description. $250= I'm not a elite trail runner. Like from 🇪🇸 Spain. Have a great day.

Overall similar fit throughout. Might feel a little more snug because the upper is a little more performance oriented. Soft vamp for flex though
Upper is Matrix ?
Not Matryx. Mix of a softer mesh and sensifit
Do you have a weight for it ?
Supposedly 300g for sample size

$250 for EVA and no plate? Not sure how they are justifying that
Because plate is useless

@@matthewmyers7826 it's just business ... The price of a shoe is not justified. When we see the manufacturers' margins...carbon plate or not...
Literally
You can justify any price if the shoes are good enough, it’s about the project and results, not about the ingredients.
😲
