2012 GMC Acadia P0306 Spark Plug and Coil Replacement

Welcome back to the channel! This Average Mike is replacing the spark plugs and coil pack for a 2012 GMC Acadia. The Acadia had a P0306 error code, it was a misfire in cylinder 6. This video is me replacing all the plugs and coil pack for the Acadia.

Crazy that with today's cars you have to take of the manifold. I miss the old days of a 15 minute spark plug change.

I was able to get my hands next to the firewall without removing the air intake. But I have smaller hands then you. If you have smaller hands try and remove the spark plug and coil packs. Worked for me.

Hey Mike. Hello from Chicago. Great, great, great video! I have a 2012 Denali with 166k on the engine. I'm not the original owner, and whom ever was the owner prior, hid (blanketed) all the problems this thing had, either the previous owner or the dealer I bought it from, nor ever maintained my vehicle. I've dumped so much money into it, I can't even begin to tell you. Thanks to your video, I can try and take on this same problem I'm currently having with it. What test did you run on the coil to determine it was in-fact bad? My wife's just kicked out a PO304.... So Cylinder #4.

Looks like open access to the coils with the manifold on.

Please upload a video changing the power steering pump on a 2012 GMC Acadia. Without having to lower the frame, or taking the whole engine apart, Lol!😆 That'll be a video to watch.👍

Haha. Yeah, that would be a good one. Unfortunately the life of the Acadia came to an end because of the transmission ceasing on me.

My car is sputtering upon acceleration but no engine code. How can I be certain it’s a coil or spark plug?

It may not even be plugs or coils. My 2012 Acadia would sputter a bit from a start especially when it was over about 105 degrees. I cleaned the MAF on the intake and that’s all it took. Mass Airflow Sensor only and a screwdriver.
