    I think the closest thing to a Nemesis Prime in IDW was when Nova Prime in the Dead World changed his appearance to that of Optimus Prime in their last battle, in which Optimus finally decomissioned Nova for good. Regarding the Stormbringer, the only reference I remember was a series where Thunderwing got a power up and Autobots and Decepticons had to team up to defeat him. I can't recall a prime with the Nemesis color scheme, but now it is a must recolor of any Prime figure 😅 Is like the seekers of the Autobots. The figure is very impressive. I just have too many nemesis and not a lot of space, but is definitely a piece worth to get.

    Just received mine yesterday and man it's so nice. The possibilities of poses are fantastic. Gives me a great idea for a dio with our favorite Rung

    I believe this figure and their Orion Pax are the figure of the year. I haven't seen anything this year that is this great. The transformation is intuitive and fun. The sculpt is amazing. The poseability is flat out the best I have ever seen. His alt mode looks very cool. Man this version is just so great. The bonus accessories on this one really add even more to the cool factor for this one. MMC/OcularMax really knocked this one out of the park and it isn't even close in my mind.
    This is so cool I think I will be getting one for my collection. It was never a character I sought before but damn it is just so good I would forever be annoyed with myself if I didn't get it. I love IDW and this just makes me happy seeing it.

      I think people are sleeping on this one cuz he's not from G1

    • @TheShadowKarl

      @@TMReviews my collection is actually not G1 based. I decided a couple of years ago that I wanted to get a few characters that I love. However I didn't want to collect just to collect... So at the time when I decided to get a few I decided to preset limits to my collection to NO more than eight Autobots and eight Decepticons. The Combaticons we're my favorite group as a kid so I have gotten four of the five from MMC. I only need to get Onslaught. I have Bombshell too. That is six of the five slots. I plan on getting Deadend (probably the X-Transbots one). I didn't have a figure for the eighth spot until I saw this one. It will fill The eighth slot for my bad guys.
      Thanks again for the review. As for the good guys I already got my pre-order in for the MMC First Aid. I love this figure so much. I saw the early look and it took the seventh slot for my Autobots collection. The eighth and final is reserved for Ironfist (I really hold out hope that MMC will do one like they did Guzzle).

      @@TMReviews I have a feeling if they miss out the secondary market for this guy will be super high at some point and be inaccessible for most collectors.

    I like how fingers are articulated for some weird reason. The back of the figure I like it's pretty clean. But the alt mode is to die for. If I get the figure it would be because of that.

    • @TMReviews

      Ya it's a nice figure overall

    • @TheShadowKarl
      @TheShadowKarl 3 года назад

      I love the Cybertronian Alt mode as well. I actually like both modes but I love everything about this figure. I have a pretty small collection and I am sold on adding this one to my collection.
      A figure has to check off a lot of boxes to be in my collection and this one definitely checks all the boxes.

    Awesome review. I picked this up at TFCON on the weekend and it's amazing. Definitely my figure of the year. I also have Optus Pexus and can't wait for a shattered glass version.

  • @littledutch7549

    I thought that Optus Pexus was based on the IDW Orion Pax and not on his Stormbringer rendition? The Stormbringer Optimus Prime has different colouring and a design deviations (most notably his chest). Optus Pexus has more in common with IDW Orion Pax, as far as I can see.
    This nitpicking aside, this figure's posing possibilities are insane. It's a shame I have no place for him in my collection (strictly G1 cartoon renditions only), otherwise I'd been on this like a Tailgate on Cyclonus.

      I was in the same place on this and since I already had my Optimus slot filled I never picked up the other version but it is so good I will be getting one. This is one of those figures that if you don't get it you will forever be kicking yourself down the road for not getting it. MMC/OcularMax really are making a statement with this figure. I hope the designer of this figure is busy working on more designs for them. I really would love whomever designed this to do Ironfist from Last Stand of the Wreckers and make sure that his alt mode looked a bit cooler than the comic version. I want a character this well done with this much poseability. In any event I will be getting this one.
      Glad I saw the review. I thought it looked cool as Orion Pax but this paint scheme is even cooler.

    Nice Review, But there Optus Pexus is Orion Pax lmao.. It is not from the Stormbringer series from the comics. I know You're going to disagree but all You have to do is 5 minutes of research. But I've read the comics so yea it's Orion Pax.

      Here is the IDW reference I used to determine it wasn't IDW Orion pax but I may be totally confused..

      @@TMReviews different person here, but after I did some reading on the TF Wiki, the cover of this issue from this link, shows Orion Pax in his upgraded body (still not Prime) granted to him by Zeta Prime.

    • @Ridiculous-Badger
      @Ridiculous-Badger 3 года назад +1

      Orion Pax had multiple bodies. This was the body design he had in the storylines leading up to his assumption of the Prime title.
      Stormbringer was the first comic (publishing date, not chronologically in universe) this design was shown in, I believe.
      Great review, bud. Don't sweat the lore. For some reason this stuff can sometimes rile people up.
