I think the most common team sports for American girls/women are volleyball, softball, basketball, lacrosse, soccer and rugby. American football for girls is very rare.
Surfing is very popular with women nowadays.

Sadly that’s a stereotype in Korea just like foreigners say kpop or kdrama when seeing Koreans. Or associating anime for Japanese people. That’s the sad part of our society. Because the distance and what we see on tv/social media many people associate mass media to the actual country or people.
They should’ve shown girls ice hockey. They’ll draw blood just like the guys.

I’m going to be honest in my experience for sports if there’s some type of tackling or fighting involved that girls are allowed to do they go way harder and way more aggressive especially if they are competitive athletes. Like I’m sports like lacrosse or football the minute that checking and tackling are allowed those girls will take you out!
I'm permanently remembered by the boy s in my middle school as the girl who was ruthless at all-in-all-ball (basically dodge ball, but every man for himself). One guy even wrote it as his message in my yearbook.
@@jamiesilver7401 I was the girl at recess who joined in on the not allowed tackle football games solely to tackle people I did not and continue to not know the rules I just wanted to hit people lol
I always thought it was because girls have fewer outlets for their frustrations so when they see a chance, they will tackle you with some deep pent up rage. But that's just my opinion

I'm not an athletic person, but I got forced to join a Basketball game once because the member lacked one person and if we didn't fill in we would lose, it was supposed to be a friendly match but mann the girls were ruthless I got elbowed in the stomach and the boobs, I also got scratched on the neck and forearm, I didn't even run anymore and just stayed in the other side of the court, waited for them to come to me and just "defend". It felt like forever before I got subbed that my eyes were seeing black spots. I never stepped foot on the court again. Contented to just deliver water and snacks to the players.
It's weird hearing that Korean girls don't really do sports. Like every woman I know has done sports. My Grandma did jujitsu, my mom played basketball, my best friends do basketball, XC skiing, Cross country running, and softball. I personally haven't done any sport on a higher level due to having a medical condition that causes chronic anemia, but I have still played almost every sport out there for fun. If anyone from Korea is watching could you tell me why it is that Korean girls don't really play sports. Is it just a cultural difference, or that it's seen as odd or un-ladylike to play sports like that?

Same. It’s just so common that girls play sports or get involved in a physical activity. All the girls in my family did softball or gymnastics. I noticed it’s a very American thing to place emphasis on school sports for both boys and girls. The whole “soccer mom” thing especially shows it.
I think it's too take care of themselves. And he said mainly indoor sports the probably dont wanna get tanned from the sun. I'm not korean so dont trust my word all the way

I want know that too, I'm from Brazil and sport is really a thing to both male and female here. And I have pretty sure this is common in all South America countries too, for what I know obviously.
Girls playing football is still pretty rare, but it's becoming more common recently. Also, it would have been nice to see the reaction to our girls soccer too...soccer has been one of the most popular female sports here in America for a couple years now and the female teams are normally really good. I know in my high school (which was pretty normal/average in all aspects) the girls soccer team was excellent.
Yeah, I agree I'm a girl, a Sophomore and I've been playing as a middle linebacker for 4-5 years already and I've seen how common its getting for girls to play in teams with boys.

It’s funny to me that he said the girls tend to like indoor sports for the A/C. I was a volleyball player through Univeristy and most gyms I played in growing up didn’t have A/C and we begged to do training outdoors but weren’t allowed.
Yes. All the sports facilities at my school always gave the girls the worst one. We had two gyms, two baseball fields, two tracks and two football fields.

So, in American schools, there isn't really things like the "Football club" or the "Volleyball club" and such. They are mainly just school teams in general, at least where I am from

There is flag football for those that don’t like tackling, bumping or other physical contact since the badminton guy said that he doesn’t like bumping into people.
Field Hockey, Soccer, and Lacrosse should be shown too. Field Hockey was huge in the Middle School I went to.
Y’all should of let them watch softball, track and field, and field hockey.
You guys should react to track and field. But I recommend watching the sprints though because anything above the 400 can be boring. But things like sprints, hurdles, jumping, and throwing can be very entertaining and there a lot of middle and high school aged people in the US who excel in this sport. I personally ran track in high school because I didn’t have the balance or coordination for any other sport lol.

I played volleyball in high school and soccer in college. I love do sports but when I start to work left this activity for the schedule. Very glad to see teens practice different sports. Greetings to the channel, excellent content.
I watched professional korea basketball team and a bit of professional volleyball in korea in real life before and from my personal opinion. They are at the same level of elite high school students in america between elite high school and college level

That would be like saying, ‘oh, a rice eater’ every time I see an Asian person.(that was an analogy idk how else to explain it)

Let's think about it the other way around, imagine that American teens react to Asian teens' sports videos. When the Koreans came out, the reactor said "oh! kimchi, bts, oppa, kpop, cute, beutiful skin, e-sports master, look like anime, looks young etc". I don't feel bad about it. Because it's not negative. Just don't mention Corona. Because of that, Asian hate crimes have skyrocketed in the United States. Maybe it's because criminals don't look at Asians by nationality, but as a race. That's why it's spreading into Asian Hate. There are many Asians besides China. Doesn't everything get tired from a racial point of view? Why do black people have such low self-esteem?
@Rachel Lemma Adding to what you said, assuming that an individual likes hip hop because they are black or kpop because they are Korean gets frustrating. It's like saying you all are the same collective person and your race or nationality depicts what you will like.

I really like sports like any kind of activity that'll get me sweating but lately my mentality isn't good to where I have the motive to try, but I really hope I can get better and go back to trying new sports even if I suck at it. I like to engage even when I get hurt

The saddest part about girls playing American football is that there are fewer teams once girls are older than 14 years old. Therefore if a girl is really good, or loves the sport, she can't play anymore because most coaches are not going to put a girl on a team with boys.
Something alot of people in every country forget about is horseback riding. Its so addictive but its so difficult. Been riding horses since I could walk and I think more people should acknowledge it.

I played softball for a year(won some medals) and never touched any ball since then. There was a classmate of mine who wanted to join our club back then but had to quit coz she gets rashes whenever she's exposed to the sun too long(doesn't help that she has a white complexion and you can easily see those red spots littering her arms legs and face)
I played volleyball in highschool.
It kind of upset me that they barely watched the volleyball one.
In the second basketball clip that was my uncle's team in the white. I believe that was one of the Nike tournaments from maybe 3 years ago. Those girls are in college now.

People said volleyball look easy and fun to play but nah, its not for me. I got force to play and my wrist got swollen on the next days because of the ball was so heavy once it land ok your hand but its still fun to play with your friends if you’ve strong hand

I feel that people are taking his “hip hop” comment way out of proportion. I really think he was referring to the handshake more so than the girls being black.
Also, this video and the video that they are watching has been edited. So we don’t actually know what he saw when he made that comment. We only know what they showed us in the finished product. Just something to think about. 💜
Personally I'm soooo not competitive and also pretty lazy so sports aren't my thing, the only sport I acutally liked to do was gymnastics but I have bad knees and scoliosis so I had to quit. My mom forced me to play sports when I was younger though, I did cheerleading and soccer and hated both honestly lol she then forced me to be in "womens athletics" in 7th grade which is like advanced P.E ;~; hard core work outs and weight training, doing snakes on the steepest bleachers, running across the football field with an elastic band around your waist as another girl holds onto it pulling you back and the one rule, you HAD to try out for every single sport if you were in atheltics. Lucky for me I suck at most, if not all, sports so they never tried to get me to join any team. There's a stereotype that girls are dainty and light delicate little flowers who fall apart at the slightest breeze but girls will actually fuck you up without hesitation and I learned that in athletics lmao xD Our coach made up a game that was a blend of soccer and football so there was tackling involved... 99% of the girls left that soccer field bloody, I was the 1% that wasn't bloody because I would get out of the way and stand to the sides xD The boys football team were on the field next to the soccer field and were shook and terrified by what they saw that day lol even just playing regular dodge ball, a girl got her nose broken.
We take sports very seriously so no team would ever be called a club, always call it a team.

1). American football is barely like rugby. Surely yes a leathery ball is used in both cases, but rugby has a handle on their ball, American football does not have that handle. And you’re throwing that sucker long distances during the game.
2). Forgot what else I was gonna say, so might as well add to the first one saying that there’s a lot of protective equipment in American football. Despite this though, players can still get concussions. It’s crazy..
