Hi Chris. You really know how to move dirt around. Lol. I really like how you explain what you are doing to viewer's. Be safe Chris and have a wonderful day. Keep up the great work and videos.
Chris, even though that area will be under water....its great to see you take the time to clean it up as you walk the excavator out. Sign of a good operator who cares about the details. 👍🇺🇸
We love radios. We have Motorola two-way radios installed in every vehicle and machine, along with the house and shop. The ones in my truck and UTV have timers on the power feed to keep them powered up for 30 minutes after the machine is turned off. That way we can still be called when we have stopped, which was a problem in the past.
I got Cobra Radios back when I was running building Cranes (2000-2003) in the RTP, to stay I touch with the Foreman on the back side of the Roof on the Buildings, I still have them...
Chris, it's great to see somebody else with hard core OCD like me. Around the 15 minute mark where you are talking about it looking "pretty" even though it's under water.... I know exactly what you mean. That would eat at me if it were left with clumps.... I definitely would not be able to handle it. It's gotta "look pretty" even under water
That little creek channel is where the little fishes are going to come to eat whatever washes down and where the big fishes are coming to eat the little fishes! Maybe me and a can of worms are coming to check out your work in a couple of years!
I like the 2ways, but I enjoyed the communication you did before, Old School! beeps, nods, hand slash, etc. Just remember a wink, is as good as a nod, to a blind horse.
Hey just an idea... How bout Timmy throwing on a go pro and he can get some extra footage. Also he could give some commentary or what not. Videos are awesome regardless, just an idea! Keep up the great work guys!
Hey dude. I was able to catch up on a few of your past videos today. When does it not rain,, huh? Curious,, y’all ever see a Bigfoot ? God bless and peace from Va. 👣🚜👣🚜👣🚜
Not yet. I will when I start fixing other things, besides the rollers I needed. I even wrote the name on a sticky note on my computer so I wouldn't lose it.
If you want to program your radios with frequencies go to amazon to get a programming cable. Get the $20 cable not the $10 cable those cables don't work. Then go to RadioReference.com for your frequencies in your area. Download CHIRP program from chirp.danplanet.com it's free. Once setup you can program as many radios that you got so all are on the same channels.
I have watched dozens of your videos and it still amazes me how you can make that machine do just about anything you want it to. How long does your undercarrage last on those machines? Seems you spend most of your time in mud.
Closed captions got turned on somehow...it interprets the sound of the excavator as [music]. I must says that I agree.! Now if it could only understand that southern accent. Lol.
Probably shouldn’t be my focus on your video but what kind of radios did y’all get? It looked like a Baofeng? If it is I’ve got some extra attachments and programming cables and cds if you need. I’d be happy to donate them to y’all ( includes a couple hands free mics )
letsdig18 they are good little radios . You can even program them as scanners. Comes in handy when you forget to let the FD that you’re gonna burn . You can know that they’re on the w😉😅
Looks like, to me, the Baofeng buisness band radios. It's a Chinese made radio. It looks exactly like my Baofeng Ham Radio handie talkie. You can buy them on Amazon dot com for around $50.00 and usually around $30.00 to $40.00. My Ham band HT was $36.00. LOL
I’ve used Icom, Kenwood, Yaesu and Baofeng handheld Ham radios. The Baofeng’s didn’t have all the advanced features of the others, but they were one tenth the price and they worked fine. Also, have used Baofeng FRS/GMRS units which were about $60 for six radios with chargers and earpieces. de wo8f
Def be careful using those radios. Not because they're bad but unless you're licensed you could face a fine. Program frs, gmrs or murs frequencies into em that way you're not transmitting on ham bands.
It's nice to see people take pride in their work 😊
Why I watch.
There is nothing like a big shovel to play in the mud with. I love it.
Hi Chris. You really know how to move dirt around. Lol.

Love the attention to detail. Keep it up my fellow North Carolinian.

The part that matters to you is what separates you from the rest! Nice work!
Getting close looking good
Thanks for sharing all the different projects

You finally got some two way radios! Awesome Sauce!
Apart from the sloppy mud it looks good bro. Great commentary too.
dont kid yourself your walking trail will be your access road for when you come back in ten years to dredge out the head section
Chris with your attitude of making things right and doing a great job, you'll never be outta work my friend.
Awesome job again, your the expert on moving dirt Chris, two way radio system nice....👌👍
Now that was a slick little addition to the pond. ( no pun intended here)
a Great job Chris I so enjoyed watching you do your thing as always. thank you for the great video of what you do.
I got Cobra Radios back when I was running building Cranes (2000-2003) in the
RTP, to stay I touch with the Foreman on the back side of the Roof on the
Buildings,
I still have them...

Chris, what you need for your radio when your operating, is a head set, hands free baby!!
That little creek channel is where the little fishes are going to come to eat whatever washes down and where the big fishes are coming to eat the little fishes! Maybe me and a can of worms are coming to check out your work in a couple of years!
Always with the good job!
Thanks for the video.
Can you imagine what this entire project costs? Unreal
Chris and Tim playing in the mud. 👍👍🇵🇪🐕
Your like me I would not have been able to sleep if I didn't fill the tracks in on my way back out nice finish work Chris 👍👍
Happy about the Radios I feel your stress level dropping already lol.
I like the 2ways, but I enjoyed the communication you did before, Old School! beeps, nods, hand slash, etc. Just remember a wink, is as good as a nod, to a blind horse.
Hates mud...but always playing in it!! LOL
Crazy seeing Tim standing next to the bucket.
Currently coming up with fun “handles” for you & Tim...
Right when you paused to say pretty I said it and laughed cause it happened to to come out at the same time! LOL
Now there is a guy who takes PRIDE in his work. he wants it to look good and done right!!
I was taught that it doesn't matter if you are going to cover it up or not. Do it right because someone may look at it before it is covered up.
Like it keep them coming .
For the type of work you do, what name brand boots do you recommend, what size do you wear, style lace up or slip ons?
Looks like your bucket has a lot of dirt stuck in it. Thanks for the video.
Hello I am Justin you inspire me and I love canatruction equipment
now's a good time to think about adding some fish habitat (root wads, logs, etc).
Hey just an idea... How bout Timmy throwing on a go pro and he can get some extra footage. Also he could give some commentary or what not. Videos are awesome regardless, just an idea! Keep up the great work guys!
You should have radios mounted inside your equipment and run off battery from them. Having hand held handy too.
Nice the radios should come in real handy.

Jesus, how loaded are these people. Now they are having a trail built.
100's and 100's and 100's of thousands of dollars pond rich !!
After this pond build they're poor again.
He said it was going to be a resort I remember hearing correctly
not sure how deep this pond is going to be, but if it me, I would have it as deep as possible.
Cool you're using the radios.
Good job, as usual.
Were you able to contact the local Volvo dealer in PHX?
Not yet. I will when I start fixing other things, besides the rollers I needed. I even wrote the name on a sticky note on my computer so I wouldn't lose it.
Did I catch a niner in there? Are you calling from a walkie talkie 😂
Nice!!!
I’m glad you got those radios hopefully now folks will not be butt hurt lol
Cheap radios work just as well as top rated. Over time you will probably drop yours in the mud or run over it. Do not despair, they are cheap.
like the new Baofeng radio they are big in the ham radio world
stupid Q: after you finish a pond like this are you contractly obligated to come back and look every so often as it fills for leaks? just wondering
I used to supply the radios for the contract wild fire crews. Those had to be super rugged because their lives might depend on them making the grade.
👍
Brian Webber sir you are talking to much in the comment section 🤣

5k hours or so
"Bell end" has a a rather different meaning in the UK...
Closed captions got turned on somehow...it interprets the sound of the excavator as [music]. I must says that I agree.! Now if it could only understand that southern accent. Lol.
Ain't he got a great accent it's true blue country boy and I'm southern and haven't got it like he does, I love listening to that sweet country voice!
Nice
Chris, what camera was this shot with? Your GoPro? It seems very clear and crisp. And great job on going the extra mile on your work, as always!
yes
A few quips for stickers: "Dirt should be pretty!" or "Slickin' up the mud to make it pretty!" or "Pretty is mud deep!"
Nice ah Nice
So having radios to talk to each other is that gonna be a good thing or not?
Hey Chris I never thought to ask, what’s down stream? Will ponding up the water have any effect on that? Thanks
Shouldn't be an issue. Once the pond is filled the overflow will keep the water flowing unless there is a lot of evaporation.
Do any of the customers have you place old tree trunks etc, at the waterline or on the bottom of these dams for fish habitat?
I've seen in some of his other videos that he does the tree roots but he doesn't say if the owners ask him to do it
Man looked like you screeding concrete at the end!
The correct title for this video is Messing Around.
Hey Chris what transit laser do you use?
Tim still trying to yell with the radio clipped to his chest 😂
Probably shouldn’t be my focus on your video but what kind of radios did y’all get? It looked like a Baofeng? If it is I’ve got some extra attachments and programming cables and cds if you need. I’d be happy to donate them to y’all ( includes a couple hands free mics )
yeah thats what we got, ive been happy so far

You remind me of a fugitive who walks backwards as he brushes out his foot prints so the posse can't follow him.
I'd bet you vacuum yourself out of a room too haha. Nice work man, it's hard to find people who still care about what they do.
Baofang or Wouxon handheld radios? You'd like a lapel mic.
What’s the estimated cost of this project Chris ?
Chris,U can get u a clip on mic that u can clip to your jacket.
ωραίος 👌👌👍
Radios!
What kind of radios did you go with ?
Does Tim love the radios? Lol
Too bad you are so far away. I'm thinking of digging a pond.
OCD a problem all good operators have
What brand radio is that? And is a ham radio
I think it is just a walkie talkies.

@@mikeinselman3589 My Dad was a ham radio operator but I never heard of that brand.
I wonder if you will ever get called back to dredge this pond in a few decades time?
5 yrs max. Job security.
this job, bid or by the hour, what is the total $ + -.
He probably won't say but you can bet it is a bundle of money. They have spent lots of machine hours on that project and are still not finished.
100's of thousands, Imo.
Might need to look ahead for dredging access. Just saying. Another good vidja
Do you ever miss the older loud machines?
Lol Baofeng radios... be careful of what frequency you are on .... de KD2ERR
