    From a full time detailer who has his own ups & downs regarding customer acquisition I just want to say thank you to the whole team at the rag company and Optimum for TRULY helping out detailers. Everything from the quality products, content, and amazing sponsorship opportunities really helped my business, and I cant thank you all enough!

    THANK YOU!!! As a former sales guy I am so happy you made this. As I research to get my damn company off the ground I am stunned by how unprofessional this profession is. There is just money being left everywhere. It's fine for this to be a fetish in your personal time but if you want this as a business than be a damn business person.

    Where I live in Michigan we called paint contamination rail dust. We were surrounded by auto assembly plants including a foundry. That stuff was everywhere not just on cars.

    I see all these videos people make, exactly like what you describe. You are right, 99% of ppeople who watch them aren't interested in what they are doing or do they understand the overall processes, just show some before and after pictures or videos of what happend and people want what you are providing

    We have a specific ”sell my vehicle” package. Most of the people who have this service performed don't sell their car, they keep it..

    • @StrongFreak13
      @StrongFreak13 5 лет назад

      What do you do for that service?

    • @VeteranDetail
      @VeteranDetail 5 лет назад +3

      StrongFreak13, we carry out a full interior detail including shampoo of the seats and carpet, headliner clean and all of the hard surface areas. Exterior wash, clay, polish & wax. We also recommend an engine steam clean and dressing because every potential car buyer will always check the engine bay. Our aim is for the seller to maximize their asking price and to sell it to the first person who comes to look at it. Two things happen, either the owner wants to keep it and falls in love with the car all over again or they call us the day after to let us know they sold it to the person who came to look at it first.

    I LOVE this video! Totally great that you identify with the Elantra market, so many aspiring detailers are after the Ferrari market, but the real money is with the 99%. You want to be one guy making 80k serving 50 customers a year, Ferraris are fine, but it'll take 20 years to get there. The success model in detailing is a little shop with soccer mom's grocery getter, and stoner Mike's party car that he's trying to sell, and that Subaru with the dogs, all getting done before lunch. Get that operation going, and 6 figures is a cinch, believe me.

    I absolutely LOVE this its so easy to try and impress and have the opposite effect thinking your going above and beyond. Most of the time when I clean cars they do not notice the things i do to impress them in some way or another and look past the things that I wish I had more time to do. Most of the time we beat ourselves up or hold ourselves to higher expectations and spend way more time and products to get the outcome that people tend to over look. That is what I struggle with being when to stop because not everyone wants a multiple day detail and sometimes multiple days wont fit your schedule either. I can not wait for the next detalks you guys are FREAKING AMAZING!!!!

    Thanks a lot
    Mr.Yvan
    Mr. Levi
    for putting time and effort to produce this informative video.
    By the way
    As mentioned in the video customers can’t know the difference of polishing steps..
    One of my customers after spending a 16 hours correcting and sealing the car.
    He called me after 4 months telling me that he was shocked when he parked next his neighbor car that is the same exact car and he bought after 3 months...
    My customer car looks newer.
    He said I didn’t realize what I’d done till this happened.

    The issue is that too many guys now don't want to work on the dirty cars. They want to make those videos to try and attract the super high end guys, because not only do those cars pay better, but they aren't even dirty to begin with. It's a sad reality of the industry that the cars that need the most work, don't offer the same financial benefit for those doing the work. But, you are taking advantage of such a greater piece of the pie that it's impossible to deny. Wow people with the basics.

    Probably the best Video on RUclips I’ve seen, there is just so much bullshit on RUclips from trendy Detailers who love the sound of their own voice. That guy in Canada who is promoting some new crap each week.

    Great information, I notice Alot of this for Instagram post as well. I used to follow detailers and make post for them, but swapped to more customer focused post and notice I get less likes but more inquiries which equals more money. Great information in here take notes everyone!

    Appreciate the information in this video guys. Just starting out with my own detailing business, the thought of over educating never crossed my mind. I think looking back that this may be some of the reason I get a lot of people asking about detailing their cars but not a lot of appointments. Guess I need to slow myself down a little when dealing with customers. Thanks again love your d-talks

The dash/centerconsole/steering wheel/doors took me 2 full weeks!!! I haven't talked to another detailer that has seen or done it or that had a faster solution to this disgusting problem.

    I respect Yvan, Levi and their respective businesses.
    With that said, I wholeheartedly disagree with the premise of this video. I DON'T want to be shampooing interiors or washing cars. I want as many corrections and coatings as I can fit in my shop. The videos we've done have paid for themselves tens of thousands of dollars over, and the videos we've done are EXACTLY what Levi and Yvan are advocating against.
